Scott's POV
I watched as Y/N kicked her legs nervously as she sat on the medical bed. Wesley was talking to her about the procedure she was about to go through. Her eyes drifted to me allowing me to give her a small smile in hopes to comfort her. Wesley follows her gaze over to me. I meet his gaze slightly before turning back to her.
Wesley knew I cared for his sister deeply. He told me himself that he has seen the way I looked as at her. At first, I thought he was going to scold me for not keeping in professional but instead he said that out of everyone in the universe he would rather his sister end up for a guy like me. I couldn't help but have my heart swell up with joy hearing that from him.
Dr. Carter walks in pulling all of our attention to him. He leads Wesley and me to the procedure observation room. Wesley had requested that we were able to watch the procedure. I sit down next to Wesley in front of the glass window that separated us from where the procedure would take place.
Y/N gives me one last look before she follows Dr. Carter to the actual procedure room. I watch as Y/N climbs up onto the table and lays on her stomach. Y/N nods to something Dr. Carter was saying before laying her head down on the bed with her face turned towards the window. Y/N meets my gaze through the window. I could see he muscles visibly relax as she keeps her eyes on me.
Dr. Carter starts to prep Y/N's head for the procedure. He parts her hair before clipping it up and out his way. Dr. Carter speaks to Y/N causing her to nod her head slightly. Her eyes never leave mine. I wished that I could hear what he was saying to her. Wesley sits up in slight concern as Dr. Carter starts to strap Y/N's limbs to the table she was laying on. My knee started to bounce as my nerves flared watching a strap be placed across her head to keep it still.
"She's gonna be okay," Wesley says noticing my nerves.
"I know. I just don't like seeing her strapped down like this." I explain to him.
"It's just a standard procedure she doesn't hurt herself," Wesley says.
I nod as I continue to watch Y/N. A few other doctors had walked in order to help with the procedure. Dr. Carter looks up at us indicating they were starting now. Y/N never removed her gaze from me as the doctors started working. At first, it seemed like the procedure was going well but then something happened. Y/N's screams echoed through the room. I jump up from my chair pressing my hands against the glass separating Wesley and me from her. Tears spilled down her cheeks as she continued to scream in pain. It was the most excruciating thing to hear especially coming from this girl.
I had heard pained screams before. Screams from patients at Syntec. While I was uneasy with the screaming, not knowing the patients personally made it easier. However, Y/N's scream was something I would never be able to forget. I knew I wasn't going to be able to sit here listening to her scream.
"Scott!" She yells causing me to panic.
Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as the girl across the glass screamed for me. My name leaving her lips broke my heart. Hearing her call for me left a sickening feeling in my stomach.
The doctors looked at each other in a slight panic not expecting for Y/N to feel them working on her head. I watch Dr. Carter mouth something to the doctors who then start to continue to work on Y/N despite Y/N's pleas for them to stop. Wesley was getting agitated beside me watching his sister scream and wreath in pain.
"Please Stop!" Y/N cries out. Her voice was raw from screaming. "Scott! Please make them stop"
"I can't stand this anymore," I say turning to Wesley who was no longer next to me.
I could see him leaving the observation room. I quickly follow him out of the room. Wesley pushes open the procedure room angrily.
"You can't be in here!" Dr. Carter yells.
"My sister is clearly in pain. Why haven't you stopped?" Wesley growls.
I push past Wesley and rush over to Y/N. I kneel down beside the table in front of her face. Her teary eyes lock on mine.
"Scotty" She whimpers.
"I got you. I'm here" I say quietly.
I gently lay my fingers against her cheek to calm her. Her body relaxes against my fingers.
"Please get me out of here," Y/N says.
"Okay just give me a moment," I say to her before standing up. "Unstrap her.
"We can't do that unless Dr. Carter says so," One of the other doctors says to me.
"Do it look like I care? Unstrap her." I snap slightly.
The doctor who spoke to me quickly starts to unstrap Y/N and patch her up. I quickly grab Y/N scooping her up into arms.
"Don't worry. The higher-ups will be hearing about this. You should have stopped the moment she felt pain." Wesley yells before looking at me.
Y/N clings to me tightly as I carry her out of the procedure room. Wesley follows me out.
"Take her to the car. I will be there shortly with her things." Wesley says before leaning to kiss Y/N gently on the head.
I take her out to the car before getting into the back with her. I settle her down on the seat but she refused to let go of me.
"No please" Y/N whimpers as she starts cry.
"Im not going anywhere. Im right here" I say to her as I adjust her in my arms so she could wrap her arms around my waist.
I move to slide my suit jacket off before placing it over her shoulders. Wesley climbs into drivers seat before turning back to look at Y/N and I in the back. Y/N's breathing was deep and her crying a ceased letting us know she had fallen asleep. I make eye contact with Wesley who sighs in relief seeing his sister resting calmly in my arms.
