[HCS] Akane x Reader

How you met-

• You were paired for a project together. It was a pretty big one, you you often had to study together

• You found out that, surprisingly, you two worked pretty well together

• Sure, sometimes his suggestions and logical explanations turned into ramblings about Aoi, but whatever

• You always thought he was rather... stern, and only ever had or expressed any emotions when it came to Aoi.

• Turns out, he was pretty nice and very smart. You both got an A. (Not just thanks to him tho)

• Akane thought you were fun,, adding something to the difficult project and boring study sessions

• He admired how you could brighten the room just by existing

• He also liked how coorpeeative and understanding you were. You both worked well together and he noticed.

• He offered to hang out again even after the project was over and finished, to which you agreed to.

• At first, you would just hang out after school or during lunch, then you began walking to and from school together, to hanging out on a daily basis

• You grew pretty close after that.

How you (and him) realized your feelings-

• For you, it was pretty easy. You probably had a crush on him for a while before he reciprocated.

• You admired how hardworking, kind, and funny he was.

• He really grew on you and you began to look forward to seeing him everyday

• You probably developed feelings for him over the span of a year or so

• Although, you knew he only had eyes for Aoi

• You were a little disappointed. Not with him, but with yourself, for falling for someone who might as well have been taken already.

• That would really only result in you getting hurt.

• So, you tried to repress and ignore those feelings.

• However, they kept on bubbling back up. You could not escape, what you though would be, some silly temporary crush

• Akane didn't really even notice his feelings at first.

• Manily because he knew he loved Aoi. He'd loved her for almost his whole life. Why would those feelings ever just,, leave?

• Therefor, he kinda refused to believe he was ever feeling that way for anyone else. Even ignoring those tell-tale signs of love,, yk,, blushing, heart racing, butterflies,, all that jazz

• One night, he was on video call with you and he was helping you out with your homework.

• He helped you figure out a problem that had you totally stumped for ages,, and you said, "Aaa thank you sm ily"
