JT sat at his desk, pen in hand, slowing working his way through the pile of papers he needed to grade for the university.
"Hey man."
JT looked up from his work.
"Hey Vincent. Where've you been?"
Vincent took of his jacket and draped it over the back of an armchair.
"Cathrerine asked me to go to that grocery store to look for evidence. I found a purse so I just dropped it off at the precinct."
"Did you see Tess. Was she ok?"
Vincent sensed that JT was worried.
"Yeah, she's fine. JT, is there something I should know?"
"No... Well it's just that we haven't been seeing each other that much and if I ask her what's wrong, she just gives me the cold shoulder."
"Maybe you should tell her how you feel. One of the many things that I've learnt since being with Catherine is that a relationship always works better if you're honest with each other."
JT nodded and picked up his phone.
"Are you calling her?"
"Well, yeah. You just told me to tell her how I feel."
"Not on the phone. Face to face."
JT put the phone down.
"You're right. Thanks Vincent. I'll talk to her after she's finished work. How bad can it be?"
