Happy dropped Peter off in front of MJ's apartment. They were going to walk or take the subway. He knocked on the door and a moment later MJ walked out, closing it behind her.

Peter held out the bouquet of flowers he got.

"You know they're just gonna die?" she asked.

"That's why I got you fake ones," Peter replied with a smile.

"Thanks dork," she said giving him a half smirk and taking them awkwardly.

They stood there for a moment in silence before Peter started talking quickly.

"So, I was thinking we could go to this diner close by. It's not that far of a walk and it's not super cold, but if you're cold I can ask Happy to take us cause I wouldn't want you to be cold."

"I'm not cold," MJ said.

"That's good," Peter nodded, "The diner's this way." He pointed in the direction, waiting for a moment before they started walking together.

They talked as they went, laughing and making jokes. It took them a moment but they quickly fell back into their usual habits.

They were still friends. Becoming more didn't have to make it weird.

At the diner they ordered their food, continuing to talk the whole time. They walk around afterward, roaming the streets of the city.

Eventually, Peter convinced MJ to ice skate, which she was surprisingly good at. They didn't get donuts, instead, they just walked some more with hot chocolates. It was a fun date and towards the end, Peter walk MJ back. Peter gave her a kiss on the cheek and they shared a slightly awkward hug before saying goodbye.

They were both smiling as they went their separate ways, Peter lingering outside, making sure she got in safely. Then he walked back to the tower happily.

That evening the quinjet engine roared to life as Natasha prepared for take-off. Bucky sat with her in the cockpit, watching as she flipped switches, firing up the jet. Once the jet was up in the air they both went back to talk with the rest of the team.

"It'll take us three hours to get there," Natasha told them.

"Alright," Steve said, "Tony will fly out ahead and get a scan of the facility, so we have some idea of what we're up against. Getting their data is the objective, other than that we'll do this like usual."

There were only seven of them going on the mission today and they spent the rest of the flight going over their plan and getting ready. Once they were close Tony flew out and got a few images of the base so that they could plan around it.

They were going to divide into two groups; the ones who would draw the fire and distract, and the ones who are going to stealthy break in and back up their servers before they get destroyed.

"Natasha, Clint and Bucky will enter the facility from this side," Steve said, pointing out the entrance on the images, "The rest of us will give you fifteen minutes form when you leave the jet before we start our attack."

"The facility is quite large," Wanda said, "Will fifteen minutes be enough?"

"The layouts are never exactly the same, but all the rooms are basically in the same area," Bucky said, then started pointing out the different sections, "the barrack and cafeteria would be over here. Then storage, labs, testing rooms, data storage and holding cells. As long as we can figure out what part of the facility, we're in then we should be able to find the data room easily."

Tony hummed suspiciously, looking at Bucky.

"What?" he asked.

"You don't usually talk this much," Tony observed.
