After the meeting was over, they all made their way to the kitchen, per the request of Vision and Bruce. It was still early in the morning and they were all hungry, so it was a nice surprise when they found the table covered in breakfast foods.
It had pancakes and waffles, cinnamon rolls and French toast, fruit and yogurt, bacon and eggs, all their favorites laid out and cut to look like Christmas.
Peter was there, sitting next to Pepper and Morgan while eating a huge cinnamon roll with his hands. He looked up mid-bite when Tony entered the room and attempted to smile despite the huge cinnamon roll. He mumbled out a few incoherent sentences, smiling apologetically at the end while still chewing.
"I'm gonna worry anyway kid," Tony replied, understanding the words as easily as if they were spoken in normal English. "I just want you to know that you can tell me things so I can be there for you."
"I know," Peter mumbled, finishing his bite, "I promise I tell you if anything happens and, I'll avoid hacking the suit again."
Tony sighed, sitting down next to his family as he thought for a second. "As long as I can see your vitals and location, ok?" he said reluctantly. He knows Peter's a good kid, but he's still a superpowered teen and his heart is always in the right place despite his often reckless decisions. Tony knows there's no way to stop him so as long as he can tell if his kid's alright and where he is, then he'll accept that as enough and admire the kids' bravery.
Peter nods quickly, agreeing because it was a very fair offer. He'd also rather be found than bleed out in some ally.
"Great. So what's with all the food and all the Christmas?" Tony asked.
"I'm not complaining," Clint said already filling up his plate as the others sat down.
"I thought it would lift your spirits," Visions stated, sitting down next to Wanda, "And I thought it would be fun to spend the day together as a team. After all, it is a Sunday which seems to be our designated 'spend time with each other' day."
"Christmas is in five days," Morgan said quietly, bouncing a little in her seat.
"I think that is a good idea Vis," Wanda said with a sweet smile.
"I do too," Steve said, stacking waffles.
"As long as spending time with each other doesn't involve physical activity," Tony muttered.
"Christmas is in five days!" Morgan said again, louder this time and drawing everyone's attention. She was kneeling on her chair with her arms extended and palms pressed to the table as she leaned over it. "Do you know what this means?" Her eyes were sparkling with competitiveness as she smirked at Natasha.
An evil smile spread across Nat's face. "Snowball fight."
Every year, around Christmas, the avengers would go someplace that was empty and had a lot of snow. It wasn't hard with the quinjet. Then they'd split into teams and have time to prepare before an all-out, no powers, war started.
Whatever team Natasha was on always won and Natasha was always on a team with the Stark kids. The combination of her and Peter is undefeated in everything.
"The Snowball Fight!" Peter screamed, "Yessssssss!"
Then everyone started talking at once.
"No! I cannot take another snowball to my face!"
"I call dibs on Nat!"
"I need to strategize."
"Clint, I fully intend to destroy you."
