I am often asked: if Ken did not die, who would he end up with? What would be the end game? Taejin or Jinkook?

When I was planning the plot of this book, Jin would end up with...

Drum roll, please...

Taehyung. Yup! You read that right.

How? So, Ken won't get sick?

Like what I've said, DURING planning, he would end up with Taehyung. But since the plot wasn't complete yet, then what would happen per chapter or at the end wasn't decided yet. Just the end ship. I hope you get my point.

Why did you change the plot?

That was just the planning stage. But as I narrowed down the story, I wanted it to be angsty. Like I was crying while thinking about what should happen in the story. Also, I told myself, I want this book to be different. That a book should not always end up with a - they live happily ever after type of ending or with a ship, while the lesson of the story is still intact.

Then if your original plan was Taejin, then why Journey is a Jinkook book?

Journey is a kind of sequel to this book. If you haven't read it yet, I urge you to. To lessen the heartbreak. Lol.

When I make a plot, I am often torn about whom to give the story. Taejin or Jinkook. Again, the Taejin endgame was during the planning. But as I finalized the story, I decided not to have a ship in the end. Since Ken would die.

As Bus Ride ended, Taehyung ended up with his best friend. Jungkook remained single, and since they have a child, I wanted to give Jungkook a happy ending so I decided to write a book and called it Journey. And for the lesson of Bus Ride to continue. Like, along the way, someone will hop in your ride to accompany you throughout the journey of life.

So, that was it!
