I love Jin's reaction when he met my mom. Mom is a natural. She loves complimenting people. Maybe that's also the reason why my dad fell for him. She's very loveable. She loves being happy.

She's also very easy to deal with. It seems like everything is okay with her as long as the people around her are happy. Perhaps, that's the exact same reason why she's satisfied with our family set-up.

On the other hand, I am also happy with my family. My dad never insists that I should meet his first family. I'm okay with this set-up. No stress. I don't have to adjust that much.

I know it wouldn't be that long because of I am soon be working with my stepbrother in my father's company. It's okay. Father said my brother is a cool guy. Somehow, I am also excited to meet Jungkook Hyung.

"Where do you live Jin? Are you living with your parents?" My mom asked. I know Jin is uncomfortable with the topic because of his father's status. But I know mom.

"My mom died a few years ago, Mrs. Kim. I am living in an apartment with a close friend." He answered shyly while eating his food.

Mom nods. "What about your dad?"

I saw how Jin becomes more uncomfortable I have to hold his hand and smile at him. Hoping he will understand that it's okay.

"My... My dad is in prison, Mrs. Kim."

Mom looks shocked by what she just heard. But she still looks at Jin intently as though she's telling him that she's willing to listen.

"My mom was very sick. She needed medicines apart from the fact that we cannot bring her to the hospital because of financial reasons. My dad resorted to stealing but he was apprehended. He was there for five years now."

This is the first time I heard about his story. I am curious before about what happened to his dad but now that I am already aware, I am impressed by how brave Seokjin is. He is basically living alone.

I saw my mom reached out on Jin's hand. She holds them. "It's okay Jinnie. Life isn't always sweet. I'm so proud of how strong you are. I assure you, it won't make you lesser of a person. It's okay, it will get better soon."

Jin smiled. Maybe he is relieved knowing that my mom did not judge his background. And it made me smile as well. I am confident now that mom really likes my choice.

"How are you coping up? I mean, Taehyung said you're working?" Mom asked again. I love looking at them. It makes me happy that they are getting to know each other. And I get to know Jin better too.

"Yes, I'm working as a waiter." He answered. This is the only thing that I am not sure about him. I can feel that his work is something different.

"He's so hardworking mom" I but in. I am so proud of Jin. "He's sending himself to school. Amazing right?"

Jin looks embarrassed of my compliments that his cheeks are now tainted pink. "It's because I need to." He smiled.

"I used to be a working student. It's hard but I am proud. You should be proud." Mom reassured Jin again and Jin just nods.

"Thank you, Mrs. Kim."

"I can't wait until you meet my dad. I know he will like you too." I envisioned dad's meeting with Jin.

Jin is very shy and just smiling the whole time. I'm glad mom made him feel at ease.

"The food is so delicious, Mrs. Kim. I wonder how Tae maintains his figure knowing his mom is a great cook." Jin's praise made my mom smiles from ear to ear.

"Thank you, sweetheart. I would love to cook again for you. And Taehyung is going to the gym with Jimin."

"Jimin is just doing cardio at the gym mom. He easily gets tired." I laughed thinking about Jimin already sitting down after 10 minutes of working out.

I noticed Jin keeps on glancing at the clock. It's already 8 in the evening. "Do you need to go now?" I asked.

Jin smiled weakly. "I'm sorry Tae but I need to go to work tonight."

"It's okay. No need to say sorry. Are you late now?"

"Mrs. Kim, it's so nice meeting you. But I really have to go." Jin turned to me. "I'm not yet late but I need to go now or else I'll be late."

Mom gave Jin a hug before we go out of my apartment. "Are you sure you don't want me to bring you to work?"

Jin shakes his head. "No need. It's already late. I will take a cab."

Jin did not take a cab right away. Telling me he needs to buy something first before he goes to work. He refused me to come with him. I know it's wrong but it made me more curious about him. And I secretly followed his path.

He walks towards the way of the convenience store where we met earlier but he immediately made a turn at the street before the store. He's going to the way where Fracers Place is located. And I'm right, he went inside the very expensive condominium.

I wonder who he's going to meet there. He said he will go to work but why did he go in that condo? I'm getting curious and curious about him. I know he's keeping something.
