{Y/N}'S POV

I was biking home from school, hopefully my dads were home. Yeah I said that correctly, two dads, Mitch and Henry. I get bullied for it, but none of the party seems to care. Which is good.

I finally arrived home, I lived across from Mike's house. It was convenient for when all of us wanted to play DnD, I walked into the house immediately going into the kitchen to get some pop-tarts. Turns out no one but me was home, I heard a knock on the door and shoved the strawberry pop-tart into my mouth. Nearly choking, I slid on my socks to the front door. I opened it to see the one and only, Mike Wheeler.

"Hey." I said.

"Hi, uhm. Do you like, wanna come over? For uhm, dinner? Yeah. Dinner." He stuttered slightly as he spoke, but smiled warmly after.

"Sure. My parents aren't here anyway." I grabbed my shoes and walked out the front door, sliding them on without tying the laces and walking across the street.

++++

"After dinner, I want you to pick out your toys for the yard sale. Maybe {Y/N} can help you." Mrs. Wheeler said, glancing over to me.

"Fine." Mike said, picking at his food.

"Two boxes worth." She stared at him.

"Two boxes?" Mike looked at her with a stern look.

"You heard me." Mrs. Wheeler said.

"I'm fine with you giving away a couple, but the other ones have way to much emotional value." Mike argued, crossing his arms.

"Emotional value?" Mrs. Wheeler kept eating.

"They're hunks of plastic, Micheal." Mr. Wheeler chimed in.

"You already took away my Atari!" Mike said.

"If you didn't wanna lose more toys you shouldn't have stolen from Nancy." Mrs. Wheeler argued back.

"I didn't steal! I borrowed." Mike said, trying to defend his case.

"Oh, and you didn't curse out Mr. Kowalski last week either, right?" Mrs. Wheeler brought up a past mistake Mike had made.

She continued on, I was just sitting there awkwardly, trying to ignore the fact that I was sat right in the middle of a family argument.

"Two boxes, Two." Mrs. Wheeler finished as Mike stabbed his food with his fork.

We went down to the basement, bringing two boxes down with us.
it had been silent, until Mike finally said something.

"Sorry you had to listen to all of that." Mike said, trying to be less awkward towards me.

"No, no. It's fine, really." I paused then continued. "It's nice being here, to hang out and stuff. Just us, like we used to." I looked away from him.

"Yeah, yeah it is." He also paused between his sentence, it looked like he was thinking.
"Can I tell you something? Something you wont tell the others?"
