Moon POV

I walk silently under the cover of the tree tops. Sun follows behind me, obviously confused but has yet to verbalize anything yet. I know she will have questions because I don't normally lead her into the forest without telling her anything.

Despite the fact that I often spend days in the forest, I rarely ever show someone something especially almost directly after I go back into the village. Normally I wait a bit and try to figure things out by myself, without asking for someone to come with me.

Finally Sun has had enough of my silence, "Will you please tell me where we are going? This entire thing is so unlike you, and I have things to do back in the village." She asks, stopping us in a small clearing.
I did not want to answer here because of how open the clearing was. We were in a forest that was only ten minutes from the outside edge of the village. However I knew that if I wanted to continue on I would have to answer her. Even though I don't have every answer I need to be able to explain it fully to her.

"Alright" I sign to her, "I am showing you something that I found recently, I don't know everything about it. The main thing I know is that whoever built it didn't want for just anyone to be able to get into it. It was heavily guarded with magic."

Sun ponders this as we continue through the forest, leading up onto the mountain. Sun is used to me not speaking in or around the village. She is the only one in the village who is fluent in sign language. Others are learning but they aren't fluent and most definitely aren't able to understand it when I actually sign at the speed I normally do.

I know how to speak English, but most of the time I am just way too uncomfortable to even think of speaking. Many of the villagers asme I am mute or just don't know how to speak English. Regardless if I do speak, I am very quiet so basically no one has ever heard me when I do speak aloud.

There is really only one other person that I am comfortable enough to speak to. That is Amaya, she lives in Trinity Stone Village but we often meet up to train.

I am hoping that showing Sun this place can lead us to answers. For as long as I can remember, Sun and I have always been very different from others. We find the scent of blood to be truly disgusting, where most people can't smell blood. There is also the fact that our hearing, sight, and speed all seem to be so much better than others. We have repeatedly been able to keep people from being trampled by falling dragons. Not even just hearing the dragons that are trained to fly silently, all the riders say the dragons never had injuries. Neither have the riders.

With how close our village is to the border it isn't all that uncommon to see absolutely exhausted dragons and riders. However, most times the dragons are able to land and have their riders get off before they collapse. But there are still those times where a dragon is unable to land and so they quite literally fall out of the sky. None of them have ever been extremely injured due to the fall because of their scales, but if the dragon lands on someone, that's a different story for the person that got squashed.

As we continue our way up the mountain my thoughts drift back to how Sun might react to this. I don't want it to be negative but I also feel that it might be. But that could also just be from me not knowing entirely of the place I am bringing her to. She has said before that she wants to help me explore places which is why I am bringing her so soon. Normally I would do all the exploring then bring her, but with the choosing ceremony coming closer by the day, even now might be too late to find answers.
