Firefighters were coming out the building empty handed. Confirming that everyone in there was dead. No survivors.
Ussop and Luffy stopped fighting, and joined Zoro on his numbness. They quit yelling and pushing the police and sat down and the curb of the street.
Zoro thought to himself there was no way he could continue on. He could never love someone else. His life was over so quickly.
He felt his body slowly grow with anger. Anger at the world. Anger at everything. He felt his body screaming beating itself up. Then he started blaming himself.
He started thinking things such as he should've found another way in and helped, he shouldn't have just stood there like an idiot.
As everyone was grieving, a firefighter who was still in the building started yelling something, it caught the others attentions.
The other firefighters ran inside to see what was going on. Everyone was waiting for what was going to happen next. They were in there for a while.
The smoke made it difficult to see, but you could barely make the outline of two firefighters carrying two people on their shoulders.
Zoro looked up from his hands he was crying in and saw the firefighters. They put the two people on the ground to try an listen for a heart beat.
One was still alive and the other was barely hanging on. As the smoke clears Zoro could see the people slightly. One was a woman with bright pink hair with ash in it making it dull. They other he couldn't see well but could tell was a man.
Zoro found the strength to stand up and walk towards the people hoping maybe it was sanji. As he started walking over to them and police officer got in his way telling him he couldn't come any closer.
Zoro said "I need to see if it's my husband.." he looked at the cop and placed his hand on his shoulder "please..." the cop gave in and moved to the side.

Zoro stood waiting for the fireman to move and to his relief it was sanji, he was beaten and burnt to a crisp.

He fell to his knees once again and placed his head in his lap. He carefully caressed his face in his hands and moved his hair revealing his forehead that Zoro weirdly loves. Even his goofy looking eyebrows, Zoro loved them.
"Sir, there's an ambulance here, we need to get them on there. We already have the others on one of them. If you'd like to join you should get in now." The officer said.
He saw the Nurses running over with those rolly beds..Zoro doesn't know what they're called. But they pick Sanji up and the other person and rolled them to the ambulance.
There that's when he saw both Ussop and Luffy ugly crying hugging each other. Sanji was unconscious from the explosion. But Zoro kept ahold of his hand never letting go.
Zoro kept thinking to himself what a relief. But was still beating himself up. He was putting so much guilt on him.
Once they got to the hospital and sanji got put into a room, the doctors started putting IV's in him and treating his wounds. The doctors told Zoro that it might be a little while before he wakes up.
"He went through an explosion and a lot of stress. Honestly I'm surprised he's even alive. You two are both one of the luckiest people." She said before she walked out the room.
Luffy and Ussop went out to get some snacks and food for em. They weren't leaving till sanji awoke. Then next thing you know Zoros phone was buzzing.
He saw it was Nami and picked it up. Before he could say hello she started spewing questions about what happen. She explained she saw a few videos about the building explosion. She saw both Zoro and sanji there.
Zoro didn't really know what was going on either, so he explained what happened in his point of view. Luckily when he was done explaining Luffy and Ussop came back explaining everything to Nami.
Though they got everything they saw, they still didn't get everything as they stared at sanjis unconscious body. Zoro had so many questions he didn't know which to start with.
"Listen Nami, We don't know when sanji is going to wake up, so I think it's best if we post pone the wedding." Zoro said.
Nami sighed at the thought of having to work around that when the wedding date was so close, but she thought with the help of Robin and her sister, they could possibly make it work.
Zoro was happy he knew he could count on her. Now all there was to do, was wait...
A day goes by and all three of them have stayed by sanjis side, especially Zoro. He hasn't let go of his hand or really got an ounce of sleep. Mean while the two other dinguses were snoring in the chairs. Weren't the most comfortable things they've slept on but definitely better than nothing.
Doctors have came in and out checking on Sanji to see how he was doing. They didn't talk much, only on how he was doing and they've all said the same that he was doing better. But by how much? Will he wake up soon? Is he going to be okay?
Ever since the explosion questions never stopped running in Zoros head. He was practically drowning himself in them. You could tell just by the look on his face he's putting to much stress on him.
There was a knock on the door waking Luffy and Ussop sitting them right up in the chair which surprised Zoro considering they're heavy sleepers.
"Good afternoon everyone, My name is Dr. Alex but feel free to just call me Naita. I had recently just gotten sanji files on what happened and to my knowledge nobody has really been filling you in." They said.
The three looked at each other in confusion. "What do you mean?" Zoro said finally looking up at the Doctor. "What I mean is you've been seeing a lot of doctors come in and out of this room and they haven't said much of anything, correct?" They said.
"They like to take forever to get to the point.." Zoro thought. "You would be correct indeed Doc." Ussop said. "Great. Well since the others aren't really doing their job correctly, I stepped into this situation so that maybe we can speed up the process a bit." They said.
The three looked even more confused now then they did before when they walked in. "Excuse me, but how exactly are you going to "speed up the process" doc." Zoro asked.
"Glad you asked. It may not seem real, but we actually have a type of injection that heals the body faster so therefore with this antidote your fiancé should wake up anytime tomorrow." Naita said putting together the medicine.
Luffy and Ussop hopped in glee and hugged each other. Zoro was getting excited and anxious. He was getting jittery all over himself.
"Don't get to excited. Sure he'll wake up and might be able to go home, but he still needs time to physically heal. He's not allowed to do a lot, but he needs exercise. So just be very careful with him. You understand?" They said starring at Zoro.
Zoro was confused what Naita says but brushed it off and nodded his head. She injected the shot into his arm and was finished in two seconds. "There you go. If I had to take a guess when he should wake up I'd say around lunch time so early noon." They said.
The three couldn't thank them enough for their help as they left. Quiet time was about to start soon so Ussop left to go get some food across the street that they've been having and Luffy played on his old play station portable.
Zoro finally felt he could relax a bit as he sat his head on sanjis hand. He thought about inviting the doctor to their wedding but he started drifting off to sleep happily.
