Sophie's POV

I slam my door as I enter my apartment tears stain my face. I drop my bag and make my way to my room and sit on my bed, I held my head in my hands. I hear my phone buzz which takes me out of my trance like state and turn the screen the look at the caller ID *Chris*, I sigh and decline bringing my hands to my head. What was that? Who were they?

Over the next few days, I have more dreams about the pale man, dreams about him escaping his confinement, he seems to be looking for something I saw a few new people as well, a woman with rounded glass and elf ears she almost looked like a dark librarian. There was also two men, brothers they were sweet they had a pet gargoyle it was huge it reminded me of a puppy as it tried to play fetch with the pale man, I think its name was Gregory.
After every dream I drew, just so I could remember the dream.
As the days passed I felt like a shadow was following me everywhere I went, there was this cold but oddly comforting shadow.

Dream's POV

I look to Lucienne,
" There is only one sure way for me to find my tools.I must go and summon the Three-In-One."

"Surely it hasn't come to that." She questions

"The Fates see past, present and future, and they know all."

" Yes, but they speak in riddles they never tell you what you want to know, only things you should never know. Perhaps just this once you could ask one of your siblings for help.Destiny would certainly know where your tools are, or Desire... "

"My siblings have their own realms to attend to, I have mine. We do not interfere in each other's affairs" I grow annoywz

"You may not, but they've certainly been known to. Perhaps just this once you could tell them what happened to you"

"I am quite sure they know what happened to me. And not one of them came to my aid"

"The Fates aren't cheap, you know. They cost a bloody fortune"

" And at present, I cannot muster power enough to summon them, let alone pay that cost. Unless... Is there anything of mine that remains in The Dreaming? Something that I created?"

" You created all of this" Lucienne states

"No, something that remains intact. That might retain some fragment of my power within it. Something I can absorb"

" There is one thing"

After collecting Gregory I make continue my journey. I stand upon a pier a never ending sea stands infront of me.

"Do you think you're quite ready for this, Your Majesty? It has been some time since you've navigated these waters." Lucienne explains "

"Do you think I've forgotten how?" I question with irritation

"No, but..."

I cut her off "I cannot ask The Fates for help without giving them something in return. There is nothing left to give from The Dreaming. I have to gather my offerings from the dreams of others."

"I understand. It's just that, in your absence, these waters have become darker, treacherous, unsafe"She explains as the pier creaks.

"These waters are as much a part of me as I am of them. Gregory's sacrifice will not be in vain. You were right, Lucienne. The Dreams and Nightmares no longer seem to recognize their master. I will remind them and take from them what I require."

I crouch down to drip my fingers in the water when I'm dragged in by a hand. Lucienne is left behind.

"The currents are stronger and faster than I remember. I have to focus" i tell myself.

Open my eyes and see what The Fates require. A snake infront of me sits in attack.
The snake tries to attack me I trap it within my cloak. I have gathered my offerings. Now, it is up to The Fates. "

"I, Lord Morpheus, Dream of The Endless, summon The Fates......the Three-Who-Are-One, the One-Who-Is-Three. The Hecate" I shout out.

" Morpheus, it's been a while. You look thin, love. Are you eating? Are you hungry? He is, but not for food. Look at him. He wants something. You've found me out." Three-Who-Are-One questions

Three woman appear infront of me one called Past one of Present and one of Future.

" I do want something. I need your help"

" Help? Oh, listen to him. Like you helped us against Circe? Circe is old business, sister-self. And he did bring nice stuff." I hand over the snake I had within my cloak and one of the three swollowed it whole. "You may ask us three questions. And get one answer from each of us." They said.

"Thank you, ladies. My first question. I had a leather pouch filled with sand. Where is it?"

"It was sold in London. Last purchased by a magic user called... Johanna Constantine." Past examined

"Constantine... I knew a Constantine, but that was 300 years ago, Does she still have the sand?" I continued to question.

"Dream, you know better than that. You get one question, one answer." They scold,

"My apologies. My second question."

"Go on, dear." Future encouraged

"My helm. What happened to it?"

" It was traded away to a demon, for the Amulet of Protection"

"To which demon was it traded?"

" One question, one answer, love." They warn

" Last question. My ruby, who holds it now? I questioned

"Your gem was passed from a mother to a son"

"Where are they now?" I asked with urgency.

" You have asked your questions!" Thunder clapping in the background.

"But there is something we have to tell you of"

"What is it?" I questioned

" A girl with eyes as blue as heavens sky, she bears the mark"

"A girl, what mark does she bear?"

" You must not stray far from her, She is essential your journey your Fates have aligned, find the girl"

"Fates have aligned? How do i find her?"

"Look for yourself within her dreaming mind"

Before I could question further they disappeared.

"My Lord, you didn't give it to The Fates" Lucienne appears behind me, picking up an egg from the ground.

"Because it was not meant for them, we also must find someone before I can continue"

"Who?" She questions with confusion.

"I don't know"
