true love was always master diluc's weak spot, for he had fallen one too many times, weather it be he would tell them or wouldn't.

i was always by his side, comforting him when something went wrong, coaching him, protecting him from anything that came in harms way.

yet i was the only one that truly loved him.

"hello, master diluc!" i grinned at him as i waltzed into his bar and taking a seat.
"hello, y/n." he said flatly.

"can i have a death after noon please?" i ordered, pointing to the bottle in the back.
"of course, on the house as always."
"oh, master diluc, you spoil me." i put a hand to my heart and rolled my eyes.

"how'd it go today?"
"how'd what go?" he rebuked.

i looked at him baffled. "you planned to make the confession today? to that girl you met outside of dragonspine?"

"i was busy." he gulped, pouring my drink into a cup.
Alice (imagine a fake npc) was an adventurer, whom master diluc had fallen head over heels for. we had planned his confession today, although i wish i was the one being confessed to.

"you can't run away forever you know." i cringed at my own sentence, that was what i've been doing for years now.

"i'm just sick of this, i want to focus on anything else than romance. it is futile for someone of status as me after all." he sighed as he placed the drink infront of me.

i frowned and pushed the glass away. "i think i'll pass."
he raised an eyebrow but didn't ask anything.

i gripped onto the table, infuriated by what he said. didn't he see that i loved him?
"master diluc, look."

"i've loved you for years, yet in your own clouded vision you've ignored that."
"what? y/n i didn't-"

"i see now. someone of your status doesn't need romance."

"i'll take my leave now." i hauled my backpack over my shoulder.

"im sorry master diluc,"

"but i regret ever loving you."
