Chapter 8

Lisa Manoban

"I apologize again if you feel that I betrayed you." My sister apologized

I've been avoiding her since I joined them in their activities. She was trying to be my pair in some activities that requires a partner but I always choose Ms. Park.

"Talk to me, Lisa. I don't want to go back with this situation." She touched my forearm but I immediately pulled it "Lisa..."

I'm not mad at her anymore. I'm sure it was hard for her also to obey his old man. I'm just not ready yet to talk to her.

"I'm not mad, Fern. Let's just talk some other time."

I left the pool area without glancing back. I'm afraid to see her hurting. I'm also upset at myself for assuming that she betrayed me. I should have trust her more.

"Ms. Manoban."

"Ms. Kim."

She's standing in front of our room. What's up with her? Did she lost her key?

"I'm--" She cleared her throat "Deb is coming, is it okay we share ro--"

Fucking great.

"No need to ask me that, Ms. Kim. I'm leaving anyway." I flatly said "Excuse me, I need to get my things."

"Ms. Manoban, I'm not repelling you. I was just asking if it is o--"

I turned to face her, she was shock by my sudden action but she immediately recovered with her stoic face "I didn't say that you're kicking me out, Ms. Kim. I'm going back to Seoul, you and your girlfriend can share this room."

I'm tired with all the drama today. All I want to do is to lie down on my bed and fall into deep slumber. I can also feel my body getting weaker and weaker due to what happened last night. I slept on my rooftop without changing my wet clothes. I'm still surprised that I didn't catch a fever.

"Does Baifern know that you're leaving?" Kai asked while putting my luggage inside the car trunk

"No."

Jungkook and Kai fetched me. They drove for five hrs just for me. One of the reasons why I love these two.  I know they are worried but chose not to ask.

"I'll tell you when I'm ready, guys."

They both walked to me and wrapped their arms around my shoulders, engulfing me in an embrace.

"Family sucks, huh?" Jungkook tried to lighten the atmosphere

"FAMILY SUCKS!" We all shouted in unison

Jungkook and Kai took turns in driving and let me sleep in the backseat. The truth is I wasn't sleeping at all. My mind was too clouded.

"Are you sure you're okay here?"

I tapped Jungkook's shoulder "I'm fine, Kookie. I'm sorry if you needed to end your little vacation because of me."

We are in front of the building of my condo ulit.

"Don't act so holy, Lalisa." Kai joked "We'll get going now. Don't do something stupid without us." He winked at me "That will be unfair."

"Dumbass." I remarked and pushed them to Jungkook's car

3:00 pm. What's taking her so long?

"Sorry for making you wait." She kissed my cheek "Where are we going?"

I looked at her from head to toe. I tried to pull her skirt down but she swatted my hand.

"Now I'm angry. I don't want to see you with that short skirt again." I pointed at her skirt "Does your school allows that?"
