Lalisa Manoban

"Ms. Lalisa, your Mama and Papa are asking for you in the living room."

I turned my phone off after posting a picture of me and Baifern on my Instagram account. I also wanted to post our pictures with Mama and Papa but that's a big no-no.

"Be there in a minute." I said

The maid bowed before closing the door of my bedroom.

While ascending from the grand staircase, I overheard Baifern saying 'She will go ballistic over this'.

"Why? Is there something you're not telling me?" I said, sitting next to Baifern "Baifern? Mama? Papa?"

"The reason why we asked you to fly here." Papa started "We're throwing a party for you and Baifern."

"For us? It's not our birthday or anything." I said confused

"We are introducing you two to the public as our heiresses, Callista." Mama said

Wait, what?!

"You said we will just attend a party?" I turned my attention to my sister

Did she betray me again?

"That's what they said to me, Lisa. Trust me, I don't have any idea about this." Baifern said, without breaking the eye contact with me

The reason why I agreed to fly here with her because she said that we will just attend an ordinary business party for Mama and Papa. Now, they were saying that it will be a party for us, announcing our future inheritance of Chen Industry.

"Callista, you know we're not getting any younger." Mama reached for my hand "You and Baifern will be the faces of Chen Industry soon."

Our identity being a Chen is a secret from the public. Aside from being wealthy and reputable, the Chen Family is known for being powerful in Asia. Not that we have superpowers, I know what you're thinking.

"I'm not ready for this." I admitted "Our lives will not be the same after this." I said scared "I want an ordinary life, Mama, Papa. Being a Manoban is a burden to me already."

"Being ordinary is not the vocabulary of our family, Callista. You know that." Papa said "Nothing will change, okay? We'll make sure of that."

"You look dazzling." Jungkook complimented me "The gown was made for you."

"Thank you, Kookie."

I'm wearing the Oyster dress by the famous alexander McQueen.

"I heard from Baifern that she invited her friends." Kai said while standing behind me next to Jungkook

I asked Mama and Papa to send a plane to fetch these two. This important event of my life will not be complete without them. Plus, they are family friends too.

"Baifern doesn't have any friends aside from Dara and the faculty." Jungkook laughed "Your sister is so introvert, Lis."

Faculty? Thus that mean that Ms. Kim is also here? No way.

They are in my room, watching me getting ready for the party.

Jungkook is wearing a Desmond Merrion Supreme Bespoke suit while Kai is wearing a Brioni Vanquish II. My boys look so fine and expensive.

I looked at them through my vanity mirror "Stop bad mouthing that old hag."

We laughed at my antics.

The makeup artist asked me to close my eyes for the eyeshadow.

"You're not ready for this, Lis." Kai said
