soriah pulled her shorts down as she walked to front door of Kai's house. She knocked on the door, and stood on her phone waiting for him to answer.

Once the door opened she looked up to see Kai who you could clearly tell had been crying. It looked like he tried to wipe them, but it just wouldn't work. They kept coming and even as he stood in front of soriah they came down.

"whats- wrong" she said as she walked in and immediately hugged him. He leaned down and buried his face into her neck, and she could feel him continue to cry.

"kai.." she mumbled and he just shook his head not wanting to look at her. He didn't know why he was crying in front of her, this was sum new for him. Cause he had never ever cried in front of anyone before.

They both sat on the couch and he still had his face buried in her neck, she tried to get him to look at her but he wouldn't. He didn't even like the face that he was crying in front of her, so he definitely wasn't going to look at her. All this made him feel weak.

"they saying she ain't going to make it soriah.." he mumbled and she rubbed his head because she immediately knew he was talking about his mom.

She wrapped her arms around him just allowing him to continue to cry in her arms, which he did. He cried and cried for two hours straight, soriah sat there feeling so bad.

She ain't like seeing him like this, even though she had just really became close with Kai. She felt like he was actually her best friend, and I guess he felt the same way because if it was anybody else he wouldn't cry in there arms.

"This world ain't for me soriah" he mumbled as his head sat on her chest

"don't say that- it's true though" he mumbled cutting her off

"Everything I love is gone, or it's fading away slowly" he shrugged and she wiped every tear that dropped from his eyes

"She's going to make it kai, just hold on" she cuffed his face

"yeah.." he mumbled, laying his head back onto her chest, they sat there and he let out a few more tears until he started to drift off to sleep

𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺..

kai slowly woke up off of soriah, which they were now in a while different position then they was when falling asleep. He couldn't understand how she always ending up different from how she go to sleep.

"fuck" kai mumbled rubbing his eyes, he then looked at soriah who was knocked out sleep, so he decided to not mess with her. He got up and walked over into the bathroom.

He took a shower, and brushed his teeth and all that type of stuff. About an hour later he walked back into the living room to see soriah up on her phone.

"Ion like sleeping wit yo ass" he mumbled

"why" she asked laughing her breath

"cause I go to sleep on your chest and end up waking up wit yo feet in my face" he shook his head as he put his watch on

"oops my bad" she laughed, and then she answered her phone because Duke was calling her

"yes" she answered putting the phone on speaker

"where you at?" Duke asked

"at my friend house" she mumbled

"mm, dad thought you got kidnapped" Duke laughed

"Oh lord"

"I'm coming home in a minute" she said and he said ok and then she hung up

"you got class today?kai asked and she shook her head

"I'm not going though, cause I'm tired" she frowned and I nodded

"whatchu bout to go to work?" Soriah asked him looking down at her phone

"yea" he mumbled, kai was still in the streets heavy which everyone didn't understand why he would be even after everything wit cortez went down, but he just did.

"thank you" he blurted out

"For what?" She gave him a confused look

"For being there for me yesterday" he said and she gave him a smile

"that shit made me feel weak as hell though"

"why?"

"cause for one I'm crying in front of somebody, and on top of that it's my best friend little sister I'm crying too" he mumbled the last part

"what's that supposed to mean kai?" She frowned

"Ion mean like that, it's just I never expected us to be sitting here having this type of conversation" he shrugged, kai never really payed any attention to soriah when he was younger. Especially because she was way younger than them.

"yeah I ain't expect either" she shrugged, as she grabbed her keys and slipped her shoes on

"you gone be ok?" She asked while they hugged and he nodded not wanting to say yes.

"say yes" she pulled away from him

"mhm" he said and she knew that was the best she was going to get.

"where was you at fat head?" Duke asked

"I told you I stayed at a friends" soriah laughed taking her shoes off

"Is this friend kai?" He raised his eyebrow, she nodded not wanting to lie

"are y'all like..- no ew"

"I mean y'all don't have to be doing that, but like y'all together or sum?" He asked and I shook my head no as I sat on the couch

"That's just my friend that's it" I shrugged

"I usually would get mad at the fact that you hanging out wit one of my guy friends , but kai my boy so I'm not even gone trip" he said and I slowly nodded
