~Chapter 5~
*Temmy’s POV*
I started walking toward the dorms with Amanda, when I heard someone call our names. We turned around and I saw Lee slowly slide down the wall, her eyes closing. I rushed towards her, panicking.
“Go get help!” I yelled to Amanda. She nodded and ran off. I sighed, hoping she wouldn’t get lost-our school was pretty confusing. I tried to get Lee to wake up by poking her sides, lightly hitting her cheeks, and even tickling her feet. She didn’t react to anything so I tried another approach.
“Lee,” I called softly,” Lee, we have chocolate milk.”
Nobody knew, but Lee was addicted to chocolate milk, but once she has some, she gets wicked hyper. It is actually quite scary because you never know exactly what she might do. I believe she was on a chocolate milk high when she started the habit of keeping a water gun under her bed. Again, she didn’t move. Her breath was short and uneven. Five minutes passed and her breath was getting slower every second. I started hyperventilating. I knew I couldn’t carry her to the nurse’s office by myself so I had no choice but to stay with her. Ten minutes passed and I was contemplating going after Amanda when I heard voices coming down the hallway. I sighed in relief when I recognized one of them to be Amanda’s. I groaned when I realized who the second voice belonged to. My suspicions were confirmed when I saw them as they rounded the corner. I sighed; well some help was better than no help-even if it was his help- although if Lee was awake she might disagree.
*Amanda’s POV*
I stood still, in shock, wondering what to do. Temmy ran over to Lee and then yelled at me to get help. I nodded and shook myself out of my frozen state of mind, then ran down the hallway. After about two minutes I was already hopelessly lost. I ran around another corner and right into a wall. Yeah, a wall. Usually, people only think it’s a wall but then it turns out to be a really cute guy and blah blah blah, but not me. Oh no, I had to be the one person to actually run into a wall. I stood up carefully, wincing a little. That was going to leave a bruise. I started walking again, forgetting about the wall I had just run into. I heard laughter behind me.
“You know, that wall isn’t going to move, even if you keep running into it.”
I slowly looked up from my spot on the floor, my cheeks flushing in embarrassment, and saw a pair of bright green eyes, accompanied by messy light brown hair. That, combined with his arrogant stature and hot body was a dead player give away.
“I’m Ian,” He said, holding out a hand to me. I ignored the offered hand and stood up by myself.
“I’m Amanda.”
“I don’t recall seeing you here before.” He said. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.
“Well, let me guess…it may be because I’m new here but I’m not sure.”
“Whoa, no need for the sarcasm.”
“There’s always a need for sarcasm.” I said, “Now, can you help me with something?”
“I can help you with anything you want.” I wrinkled my nose in disgust.
“Ew, no.”
“C’mon, don’t deny that you want me.”
“I only met you like two minutes ago and you’re already going to hit on me?” I shook my head slowly, “sad, that’s just sad. Anyway, my friend collapsed in the hallway near the office and I need help getting her to the nurse. Can you help?”
“Well…”
“Please?” I asked, giving him the puppy dog eyes.
“Fine,” he sighed. I jumped and punched the air.
