The wind echoed and whined as the heavy clouds arrived,
Laying down before them a carpet of leaves;
And the sun went to hiding soon thereafter,
Leaving a spring day to turn into monsoon grins.Cattles rushed into the barns and wagons hurried on the street,
The moment they heard the growling sky,
A sparrow flew to her nest to survive the menace about to wreck,
Just as Zeus threw another thunderbolt from highs.A moment stood still as the ground waited in impatience,
Holding its breath, holding its tongue vile;
A little child smiled as she looked out her window,
And in the hundredth of a second the sweet tears crashed down alive.They washed away her sorrows, renewed the beauty within
That's still being destroyed by her own selfish kin;
Those tears of mercy worked their magical wonders,
Rejuvenating mother earth till the ray of morning.And as the sparrow chirped again in the break of dawn,
Blooming with happiness as her eggs laid still;
The little girl opened her door and swallowed down whole,
The fresh smell of earth underneath her little feet.
