Chapter 5: Get readyyy

Y/N's POV:

Last night was...interesting. I don't know what is happening to me. The Golden Guard makes a side of me that I rarely see come out. We are just friends, right? He invited me to get lava cream (Ice cream on the Boiling Isles 😂) in the town. Surprisingly, not a bad place for a second date, AS FRIENDS...right?

I didn't want to look like trash but I had to wear my mask and cape if we are going it to town. I could still wear nice clothes, right? I had a dress that I use to wear a while back. It was perfect because it covers my wings perfectly. Hopefully, it still fits...

I started to look for the dress in an old box. A few minutes later, I FOUND IT! It was still looking amazing after all those years! It was an F/C dress that when to about my knees. Not too long, not too short. IT FIT! I didn't wear my hood and cape over it. Just my dress, my smile mask, and my H/L, H/C hair was...a mess.

I did my hair and everything was working out great. I looked into the mirror and I looked...good? I was never this showy. I always wore a long-sleeved shirt or hoodie with my long brown pants. WHAT IS HAPPENING!?

The Golden Guards POV:

Last night was insane! I had an amazing time with Y/N but afterward Belos had a mission for me. Retrieve the Palacemen from Hexside. A quick summary is...the annoying human showed up, Kikimora wants me dead, I caved in and let the human take the Palacemen back to the school, Belos hates me, I'm a failure, and my mask was devoured by a giant hand monster dragon thing.

Even if I wanted to wear my mask to my date with Y/N I couldn't because it is in that thing's stomach. Everyone in town has already seen my face so I guess it's ok. And yes, I do have a date with Y/N this evening!

I was just wearing my purple button-up and some black pants. Basically my under armor. I was ready to see her so I headed out the door.

I'm cutting this chapter very short because I literally have school in SIX MINUTES! That's right, it's my first day of school while I am writing this. Just because school is starting does not mean I'm going to be writing less. The last break was because of other stuff and probably won't happen again. I don't know if you noticed but at the beginning of the chapter, Y/N kept questioning herself. (She is really falling hard for this man!) Just a small thing I added that I wanted you guys to notice.
