Chapter Two: Come Together

"Fine?" Owen replied, "What do you mean fine?"

"What I said." Tobias replied. "If we keep this up, people are going to die, an incursion might take place, and you three don't want that to happen. You have no idea what lurks outside your walls. None whatsoever."

"So you're saying that if we agree to the terms of those Guardians, nothing bad will happen?" Wukong asked Tobias.

"I know it's hard, know what it's like, to enjoy the idea of being free. But each of us has to know that there's more to life than freedom. Building a foundation, making a family, that should be important right?"

"I can build a family whenever I desire it." Caleb told Tobias. "Why would I want to build a family with someone who cannot control her temper?"

"It's the same ordeal with us too." Wukong and Owen spoke to Tobias and Adam.

"They'll learn to control their emotions when the time is right." Adam told Wukong and Owen. "This isn't about you, or your desires, this is about the fate of countless dimensions, pocket dimensions, canon dimensions, would you rather sacrifice them all, for your freedom? Because if this continues, that is what's GOING to happen. And it will be beyond my powers and Tobias's to fix."

Owen looked over at Wukong,

Who looked over to Caleb,

"Dammit." Caleb sighed. "Fine. We'll agree to the terms of marrying these guardians and give them their happy endings, but we will NOT enjoy it."

Adam chuckles. "I believe you will."

Now Adam had froze time to talk with his friend and the three other boys,

When the answer was given,

Adam undid his freeze over time,

And the damages that were done due to the conflict between the guardians and these four boys from their variant timelines,

After peace was made between the two sides,

After marriage plans were made,

After everything returned to the way it was before,

Adam returned home,

Where he was met by his father and mother,

Who was proud of their son,

For proving that he could carry the mantle of Dr. Fate,

That not all wars were won through fist and violence.
