I woke up, my head throbbing and my hands tied with the same device Amelia had used.

My mind started recollecting of how I ended up in cuffs and inside a room.

Slowly my memory flashed and I remembered being knocked out by- Luke.

Of course, it was him. I was angrier more than disappointed on how he could betray us.

Well it wasn't a shocker, he did keep me at gun point. Maybe I should have left him to die.

What a liar he was!

At least Daisy was safe with Jackson. I saw him peeking out of the window before Luke grabbed me.

Him and my mom and Daisy should be in a safe place by now. It was all over the news of another mass extinction- dogs.

I wasn't even surprised to know that. Though the passion to save them led me here.

I wasn't sure if I would survive this war against someone who knew me and my intentions but I had no idea of who it was.

As it was dark inside, I couldn't get a clear picture of what the room looked like. It seemed massive and heard whispers outside.

"I don't want to do this! She's my sister." A familiar voice said- Luke.

"She means a lot to Andrew and Dr. Cullen wants her to be punished. After all, his own daughter betrayed him."

It was Nate. Luke didn't want to help him but, he didn't have a choice. After all, Nate had him in his control.

Forthwith, I recalled Nate's words.

'Dr. Cullen' 'His daughter.'

My mind spun around as I seemed to be choking, as if the air in the atmosphere had dissipated.

That can't be true.

I started gasping for breath as I felt claustrophobic. The door flung open as I fell to the ground.

My hands were tied and it felt like the end of the world.

The man I called my father was truly a monster.

I saw through a blur of my tears as two figures walked towards me.

The lights automatically turned on and as my vision cleared, I could see Luke's bruised face.

He was limping and Nate had held him by the collar. Both were of the same height, but Luke looked weak as if he hadn't eaten.

Nate pushed him towards me. I sat and looked down to the floor as anger flooded through me like a river.

I was high on adrenaline and felt like slaughtering the monster whom I thought was a wise, respectful man.

Luke bent over as I looked up and our eyes met.

I was drowning in my rage as he held my hand in fear.

"I'm sorry Nash. I really am." he whispered, the breathless panic heard in his voice.

He helped me up and I lunged at Nate. We both fell to the ground with a large thud.

He pulled me by my hair, which was greasy and tangled.

I clenched my fists and punched his jaw, as hard as I could even though my hands were cinched.

His eyes widened with pique and rage as he called out to the guards.

"Code red!" He yelled, as I struggled out of his grip.

He grabbed my neck and choked me. I tried gasping for air but Nate's grip was too strong. He pinned me against the wall.
