You and Diluc made small talk while you waited for the server.

You could tell something was bothering him since his eyes were anxiously flitting around the room and kept getting drawn out the window.

A moment before he had his attention completely on you but something caught his eye from out of the window.

His face flashed with fear and rage but he quickly changed expression and tried to focus again.

"Diluc are you okay?" He almost visibly jumped but you managed to snap him out of his trance.

"Yes I'm fine." He said patting your head and giving you one of his half smiles.

'Something is definitely up' you thought trying to discreetly follow his gaze.

'What is so important about that window?'

~

Darkness surrounded him and he heard water dripping from somewhere as his eyes opened.

"I really overdid it this time huh."

"Ow. My head hurts. What happened?" The male got up, casually sauntering around trying to follow a light source at the end of the cavern.

His feet were greeted by water invading his shoes calmly.

Specks of seaweed were littered around the entrance to the cave where the ocean escaped into it.

He  walked up past the small mash that surrounded him until he found the highest point only to be met with a view of Mondstat with the ocean spread in between him and his home.

"Luc are you sure you're okay?" You said trying to sweet talk him into opening up to you.

He sighed "just work stuff (Y/N). There is nothing to worry about." He said smiling at you.

It was a half truth but he just wanted you to enjoy yourself.

You both chatted idly while eating which was very ironic since he is most known for his line saying the opposite.

He seemed even more anxious than before but you figured that you shouldn't provoke him.

                                          ~

He could see the lights of Mondstat from the dock near Stafell lake.

Originally the plan was to search Mondstat to find them but that wasn't necessary.

He could see them from where he was standing.

The darkness made the image of the culprit clearer due to the light that burst from the windows.

His blood boiled and he readied himself to smash the windows in but he stopped himself when he saw them in the window.

It was all piecing together until he was spotted.

                                            ~

"So, what did you think?" Diluc asked you as you both made your way back to the winery with haste.

He'd wrapped his coat around you telling you it was to protect you from the breeze that was quickening but really it was to shield you from the thing that had caught Diluc's attention during your date.

"The food was great and it was really quiet in the private dining rooms." He put his arm around you as you said this and you cuddled into his side.

"So.... Does this mean we're.... Um, official?" He said surprisingly timid.

You giggled and you saw his heart shatter.

"Quit looking so sad Luc, I'm giggling because I thought i made my feelings obvious. Yes this makes us official." His expression softened and you felt bad for him, since doubt was his first reaction.

"I love you Diluc." You said.

The wind blew more violently than ever that day and Diluc shepherded you into the winery, his anxious expression returning.

                                           ~

"I'm going to kill that bastard, IM GOING TO KILL HIM." He ranted his pounding footsteps stopping to rest at a statue of the seven.

"How dare he even try to take my Windblume away. I won't let it happen again."
