An unwanted return

It had been a week since you'd escaped from the game a second time.

You had made no mistakes in wiping genshin from every device you owned.

You were finally at peace.

Your visits to the genshin world were like Narnia.
A day in the genshin world was 24 minutes in the real world just like the clock in the game but when you were there it felt like real time.

You wondered what Albedo would do with the wormhole experiment since you taught him how to do it.

As much as you wished you could relax, the thoughts of another character dragging you back into their world haunted you.

Every day your eyebags grew larger, sleep alluding you.

But you missed genshin, the game of course not getting dragged through a screen by a psycho.

You decided to open up your pc and look at your old game screenshots so you could reminisce.

You scrolled past beautiful landscapes and cool animals until you came to a photo of Diluc. He was in the middle of his idle animation.

You could have sworn he moved a little but you didn't give it much thought. You set it as your wallpaper and went to bed.

You woke up with a familiar bed comforting you.

Familiar but not yours.

You still had your eyes closed and as you felt another presence in the room you decided to keep them closed.

Where did you remember this smell from and these heavy, expensive sheets.

'Fuck it' you thought fluttering your eyelashes so it looked like you'd just woken up.

Your vision adjusted to the warm morning light that cascaded through the windows covering you in a gentle glow.

"Your awake." A warm voice spoke.

You looked to the side to see the same character who you'd put on your wallpaper, Diluc himself.
