After his initial encounter with Daniel, Thomas worked three times as hard in the schooling system that Mr.C and the other teachers had set up. He worked on his reaction time, his strength, and his power. So much so, that Mr. C allowed him to go on a tricker Extracurricular assignment, with some back up of course.

"Gordon! Henry! Dodge the attack! Keep the boar busy! Edward! Give it a good slash from behind!"

"You got it!" The three teens replied as they did as Thomas suggested. While the boar was not looking, Edward gave it a good slash to its legs, causing it to stumble hard into the ground. Seeing his opportunity, Thomas ignited his sword in a bright glow. Grinning he leaped into the air with Bladed-Wing and finished off the beast with a single strike.

"Nice work you guys!" He commented to them. "Oh, and sorry about the boar, Henry. You must be a bit saddened after having to kill it."

"It's fine." Henry sighed. The reason why Thomas apologized was because Henry was a mage who loved Sodor's wildlife. When he was not busy studying, he was out in the school's garden, along with Eleanor who had similar interests as him. Though as much as he would hate slaying an animal, at times he knew that there was no choice. "Even if we had the herbs and magic, I'd doubt that we would be able to calm that boar down from its frenzy. It seemed to have a tight hold by bestiary magic."

"Well, in that case, let us get going so we can report this to Mr. C before we get caught in another..."

Thomas's eyes widened and his voice froze as he looked over at a field just north of them. Edward was about to ask Thomas what was wrong until Henry found the answer.

"Whoa! Is that what I think it is?! If so, then we must really be in luck!"

"What are you talking about?" Gordon grumbled.

"There!" Henry then pointed. "Look carefully!"

So Gordon did, as did Edward and they were shocked to see what they saw.

"R-roses? But, they're gold."

"Golden Sudrian Roses." Henry then explained. "They're the rarest and hardest of Sodor's flowers that you can ever find."

Just then, the three spotted Thomas dashing over to the Golden Roses as if his life depended on it.

"Thomas! What are you doing?! Those flowers might not be.."

"They're safe!" Thomas replied back, as he then began to kneel down and pick them into a bouquet. "Henry! Can you see if you can get some seeds from these? I want to see if they'll grow in the SMA's garden."

"Uh, sure," Henry replied with a raised eyebrow. "But, uh.. Why?"

Thomas could only smile some as he gave his answer.

"Because they are Lady's favorite flower. She had never seen them in person. I want to make her day with them."

He was oblivious to it, but the smirks across the faces of Gordon, Henry, and Edward, clearly stated that they thought Thomas to be quite the lucky guy.

Upon returning to the school, Thomas had the bouquet all done and ready. He hid it behind his back, as he entered back into his dorm room.

"Oh! Thomas!" Lady exclaimed as she noticed her childhood friend enter through the door. "Did the assignment go well?"

"For the most part." He replied. "There is still a bestiary misuser out there. So, we had THAT to report. But! On the plus side, I did run into a little something I know you've been so eager to see in person for a long time."

He then showed the bouquet which Lady gasped in shock at.

"Oh my! Y-you found them!"

"Yup! Brought you this bouquet special for you."
