"Where's thresh?" I asked a little worried. "Sweetie," his mom started, "Thresh didn't survive. They didn't give him the serum. He's dead honey, he's dead." I stared at her blankly. "Ru-" I walked away cutting her off. My walk became a sprint. Soon I was running as fast as I could. I held my breath the whole time. I finally got to a log and breathed. The same log that Katniss and I set up base at. My vision started going black from lack of oxygen. Soon I fell on the ground and passed out. I woke up in my bed with a thermometer in my mouth. I sit up and take it out. I hear people whispering downstairs so I quietly get up and walk closer. "He should be here tomorrow." The first voice said. Thresh's mom, I thought. "Oh, such a surprise for my little flower!" The second voice said. Mom, I thought. Who should be here tomorrow? Am I the little flower? I start to walk down the steps. "Sweetie! I am so glad your okay!" My mom gushed at me. "I'm fine mom. Just-" I couldn't think of the word. "Just what little flower?" My head perked up at that. "Just, sad, disappointed." And with that I walked out and headed out to katniss's.
