VII: Encounter

It's been 2 months that we had party in Jeju. After coming back to Seoul, I was focused on Mr.Lim case as it was spread all over the country. Mr.Lim is well known in South Korea for his business. That's why his murder case was a big news for people. But after a week, case got closed unexpectedly. Maybe it was because officers knew about his true identity of being involved with black business or maybe they couldn't find anything to accuse anybody. Whatever it was, it was a good news for us.

In these past months, Hyunjin, Jihoon and Rose has been completely involved in black business management. Me and Yeji looked after white business management. Everything went smoothly but there was something in my mind which bothered me each day. I couldn't stop thinking about Belift company for some reason. I am curious to know about them. I know they are my rival but I wanted to know, what made them enter this hell. I couldn't forget my encounter with them in party two months ago. After that, I'd be lying if I say I didn't met any of them. I did, I met Niki and Jay once while I was doing some business dealing. It was an absolute unexpected encounter with them.

[ FLASHBACK ]

It was 11pm at night as I was doing my night jog as usual. I always jog at night cause it helps me forget all the stress I went throughout my day. I was running at the park which was empty and dark. It was my usual place.

As I was jogging, I suddenly bumped on a rock and I fall down on ground. I was about to stand up then I looked at my hands and saw blood. There was blood on ground. I calmly stand up and followed the blood trail which brought me to the corner of park near the lake. I saw three figure near lake. 2 of them were standing straight and the third one was on his knees, crying and begging. I was about to walk away minding my own business then someone blocked my way. I looked up at the person and saw a guy. His eyes looked familiar for some reason. I looked down on his hands and saw there was gun pointing at my stomach. I didn't wanted to react but that would cause more trouble so I gasped and was about to run but he held my wrist tightly.

"You're not going anywhere, babygirl" he says in cold tone.

His voice sounded familiar but before I could figure out, I sensed someone behind me and I held the person's hand back and jumped and kicked the person behind me. Then the fight started. We started having fist fight and there was times they shoot at me but i dodged their bullets easily. At last, I punched one of them and kicked the another and as soon as they fall down, I ran away.

After I reached home and then was cleaning my wounds, I finally recognize that voice. It was Niki and Jay.

After that day, I stopped going there for night jog cause I knew after what I did, they will come back. I giggled remembering that unexpected encounter.

I was sitting on my office room, minding my own business then there was knock on the door before it opened and Hyunjin peaked inside.

"Hey, we have a visitor" he said as he walked inside fully and closed the door behind.

"Who?" I asked in confused tone.

"Yeonjun is here with some information" he said in calm tone.

"Bring him inside" I told him with calm tone.

Hyunjin walked outside and after some time came inside with Yeonjun. He greet me with soft smile as he sat in front of me.

"It's been a while, Y/n" he says with soft smile.

"Yes and I hope you have some useful information" I said in serious tone.

"You'll be shocked to know" he giggles.

"Shock me then" I smirked.

"It's about Belift" he smirked back.

"About Belift? Interesting"
