Silence welcomed you when you arrived home. You took a shower to freshen your mind and went inside your work room. The deadline for your next manuscript is still far but you want to write in advance to avoid cramming again.

The built up frustration inside your heart turns into a masterpiece. There's just so many things you can't express so you vent it out through writing.

Suddenly, your phone rang and you immediately answered it without looking at the register thinking that it was Mitsuya.

To your disappointment, it was a different voice and you rolled up your eyes.

Sorry for leaving
you alone this morning.
I had an urgent thing
to do.

You just heaved a big sigh after hearing his words.

You turned off the call and tossed your phone aside.

Ran was chuckling inside the car of his brother.  He loves it when you act cold on him. It gives him more excitement.

"Rindou. I saw her again." Ran said from the passenger seat.

"Saw who?" Rindou replied while his eyes are focused on the road.

"L/n y/n."

"Ohh. That woman you're crazy about years ago?"

"Yes, and this time for sure... I'm making her mine."

Rindou side eyed his brother and saw his face with a smirk but dark aura was lingered on it. He's dead serious.

You heard the autolock of your entrance door beeped. Hurriedly headed there, you saw Mitsuya removing his shoes.

"I'm home." He then smiled at you.

"Welcome home." You walked toward him and gave him a peck on his cheek.

Mitsuya hugged you and kissed you back on your forehead as if he missed you so much. This kind of gestures from him gives you a little ounce of hope that this marriage would not crumple to dust.

You felt a sudden pang in your heart. The guilt of having sex with someone was eating you up right now.

"What do you want for dinner?" You excitedly asked him.

"I'm sorry y/n. I just came home to pick up some clothes. We still need to keep an all-nighters to finish the project. " He said feeling a bit sad how he made you feel heated over nothing.

"Ohh. It's okay. Can't help it. It's your work anyways." You gave him an assuring smile even though you are shattering inside.

Mitsuya went to your shared bedroom and started packing up. You helped him even though you want to stop him. But you don't want to be an annoying woman so you have to keep on pretending to be the supportive wife every man would be jealous to have. Although there's some part inside of you not wanting to be judged by people around him. You don't wanna hear them saying Mitsuya should have settled with Yuzuha. That shit is painful.

Your husband left immediately without even asking how have you been during the time he was away. Expectations really hurts.

While you are having a drink alone in the counter table of your kitchen, your doorbell rang. You went to the entryway and opened the door revealing Ran.

You got startled and pulled him fast inside the house.

"Ohh, feisty. Did you missed me that much?"

"What the hell are you doing here Haitani?! What if someone sees you outside?!" You whisper yelled at him.

"Haitani? I heard you call me Ran in your most seductive voice last nigh-----" you immediately covered his mouth to stop him.

"Look. I was drunk last night. I regret that impulsive decision. I don't want to destroy this happy life i have...."

"Happy life?" Ran held your cheek and run his thumb below your eyes. "Why are you drinking alone and crying then?

He gave you a gentle kiss. His lips were soft, it was comforting you gave in to him and responded unconsciously.

When he pulled away, you found your self chasing his lips.

"Let's go out, y/n. I'll give you the happiness your husband can't give. I'm all yours..."

It's like a whisper from a demon. A temptation that could lead you to your downfall.
