Her eyes widened as she saw you opposite her. She immediately turned her back and walked away without saying anything.

What was she doing here? You thought to yourself.

"It's been a while Mitsuya." Ran said while he was leaning on the door frame of your hospital room.

"Haitani..."

He walked toward the table and placed the bouquet of plum flower there.

Ran doesn't had to say why he was there. Mitsuya immediately concluded that it was this man you are seeing behind his back. He settled himself on your bedside sitting there and crossing his legs.

"Where's y/n?" Ran asked.

"Why do i have to tell you where MY WIFE is Haitani?" He sarcastically retorted.

"Wife?" Ran scoffed. "By wife, you mean... the woman whom you neglected for a long time? The woman who had to change for you? The woman who had to endure a lot of stress knowing you are always with your ex lover? "

Realization hits him. everything he heard was right. He was never a good husband as how everyone see. Those things that he should have done as a husband was never fulfilled. He was too drowned in his career with his ex lover, his greatest love being beside him.

Truth hurts.

Still, he felt offended and stood from his seat ready to throw a fist on Ran when you sneaked behind him and held him on his arm.

"Stop it." You said in a low voice. Your eyes darted to the man opposite your husband. A year worth of sigh escaped from your mouth.

Pulling out harshly the IV needle from your vein, the two men panicked when they saw blood splashed out. "Don't come near me. Don't touch me." You warned them in a cold voice and it halted them from rushing to you.

You changed your clothes and grabbed your valuables. You went straight the nurse station. They were shocked seeing your bleeding hand but you, in the worst mood ever just said I'LL SIGN A WAIVER AND I'M GOING HOME. They had no choice but to do as you said and handed you the paper.

"Y/n!" Ran chased after you in the hallway. "Why are you in such a bad mood? Aren't you happy i came back?"

You stopped walking. "I am. But why'd you have to show yourself to Takashi. Things would become more complicated."

"I'm sorry okay? I was just worried about you." He held your wrist and pressed a handkerchief on your bleeding hand.

"And?"

"And i want to show him a rich hot daddy is head over heels for you. You know, so that he'd falter a bit." He flashed his usual arrogant smirk. "Cause i could steal you anytime i want."

You rolled an eye. Seriously, this man. Haitani Ran is the best at taunting people. His playful nature sometimes makes you want to punch him in the face.

Meanwhile, Mitsuya settled your hospital bills and did not bothered chasing after you because he doesn't want to stress you out more. He understands you want to distance yourself from him.

Mitsuya sat on a bench in the hospital's garden. He leaned his back staring at the falling leaves from the branches of tree. "It's almost autumn. I need to make some warm cardigan for y/n..." he mumbled to himself.

While having random thoughts inside his head, his phone beeped. He fished it from his pocket and checked the notification. It was a message from Yuzuha. He locked his phone again ignoring the message he didn't even bothered opening.

His phone beeped again. It was a call this time. Mitsuya after heaving a sigh ran a palm on his face and answered the call.

Not now Yuzuha.

She dropped the call and Mitsuya immediately opened his inbox. There he saw the photo messages from Yuzuha. The pregnancy test, the doctor's prescription and her billing statement. His eyes widened when he saw the name of the hospital. It was the same hospital where he is now.

He pulled his own hair from frustration. The reason why you're angry a while ago was not because of him and Ran almost breaking a fight. It was because she saw her. Maybe you assumed he was seeing her behind your back again.

You were always the wife who welcomes him smiling. The two of you never argued. It's always you who lay low when things starts to heat up. You keep everything bottled up.

This came to worst... At the end of the day, whatever choice he would make from now on, One feeling would definitely get crushed.
