When Zachary had said that I should pick, I honestly should have. I never expected him to order from all of the places he had listed off. I look at the table where all of the food sat, almost urging me to dive in.

" Zachary, this is an immense amount of food. How are we supposed to eat all of this?"

The food looks delicious and smelled amazing. For the past 45 minutes, while we waited for our food, we started to indulge in the stacks of paper. It was hard work, but it was fun to talk to him about it. As we listened to music and waited for the food to arrive.

We had honestly gotten a significant amount of work done over the past 45 minutes. As we waited for the food to come. I honestly enjoyed my time as we did our work. I didn't understand much of the work. I did take the load that I understood.

And when I did have a question, Zachary was quick to answer. And made me understand everything that I needed to.

But once the food arrived, our minds quickly turned to the food rather than the work. We both indulged in the food, quickly forgetting about the work that we had to accomplish.

As we ate the immense amount of food, we laughed and talked about everything. Before I knew it, Zachary had opened up an expensive bottle of wine.

I wasn't sure about the price of it, but by the taste of it and how far back the year was, I could tell that it was very expensive. But I didn't say anything about it.

" you know, I appreciate you being here and helping me with all of this. I know we're not getting a whole lot done, especially since we're now taking our third break. But you've been very helpful, and you've been keeping me great company."

" Let me know if you ever need my company again. I guess I never really understood how much work you did. And I know there are probably tons more of this. I'm sorry you have to deal with all of it. But I guess that's kind of what comes along with the job?"

He nodded as if I just hit the nail right on the head.

" It's definitely in the job description. It's a lot, I'll admit that. But I'll be honest, it does get easier. It takes a very long time. But in the sense, that you almost get used to it. You get used to all the work. You get were used to it how people act. It gets easier. But it takes a while."

Again, I pity him. Not in a bad way, but I thought of everything that he has to do. Even though he decided to buy the company, nobody should be put through all of this hell I mean yeah it's giving him money, but he's also saving all of our asses. So I appreciate that.

After we hung out and drink and ate for the next 30 minutes, we continued with our work. I wasn't sure how quickly time was passing, when I finally heard my phone being, allowing my brain to breathe for a second.

I grabbed my phone, wondering who I texted, but only noticed it was a random spam email that I had gotten. Ignoring the email, I quickly looked at the time. It was now 1:30 in the morning. Time had passed by way too quickly. And the few hours I have been here have quickly blown by.

" Hey, I'm sorry. But it's 1:30 in the morning. And exhaustion is now hitting me. I know we barely put a dent in all your work, but I don't know how much longer I can do this." I said to Zachary.

I honestly feel very bad. It was the truth, we had only put a small dent into his workload. I know I helped him in all, but I know that he has a lot more to do. I wanted to help him more, but I don't think I could.

Zachary looked up from his work, and at his phone. Very surprised the second he saw the time. " Marissa, I'm very sorry. I can't believe I took up all of your time tonight. I feel terrible. I appreciate all the work you've done for me today. It hasn't gone unnoticed. I'll make it up to you though, I promise."
