"So...explain to me what's been going on..." Maggie asked me, trying to get every little detail out of me.

'"He was just a fling. I wanted to be with him, but something was stopping me." I said.

I didn't wanna tell her too much, giving her exactly what she wanted, which was knowing exactly WHO I was sleeping with and why it was such a big secret.

"Was it someone important?" she asked me, hounding me once again.

"Maggie, stop, please. I'm not gonna tell you who it was, or why I can't be with him. We just don't want it to ever go public."

"Is he embarrassed of you or something?" she asked me.

I rolled my eyes and got up from my bed, "Maggie, stop! He embarrassed me. He actually wanted me, it was me who told him to back off. I didn't want it to go public."

Maggie sighed, "I'm sorry Marissa, I just wanna know who made you fall so hard,"
"I didn't fall, Mags, I just really liked him. But I can't be with him. It would be selfish and stupid."

"How?"

"It doesn't matter, it just would be."

Maggie soon left, leaving me home alone, no parents, no one. I hated being alone, but Mags was killing me with the questions, and even when she wasn't asking about them I knew she wanted to know. She didn't respect my decision, but I also knew that if I were her I would do the same thing.

But she was right about one thing, I did fall for someone, but it's over now. I haven't spoken to him for a month. Not after that phone call. School is almost over, and summer is coming up, meaning I'll see a lot more of him. I'll be going on a 3-week cabin adventure with their family like I do every year.

I worry that something will happen between me and him, but I won't allow myself to do so. I need to be stronger than that.

The past 2 months have gone by like a breeze. School has finished up, and finally it is time to go to the cabin.

Of course I am ready to be around Anthony for a few weeks. During the past 2 months, both Anthony and I gained someone. Anthony started dating this girl named Fiona, and she is very nice, pretty, and kind. I'm surprised he got someone as good as her.

But right after he got with her, I was hurt and upset, so I found comfort in a friend of mine named Hunter. Hunter and I ended up growing even closer, after I told him the truth, and he asked me to prom and we began to date.

Hunter isn't coming along during our cabin adventure, neither is Fiona, but I trust myself not to do anything stupid.

I am also putting a lot of faith in Anthony, since I think that he will stay true and faithful to his new girlfriend.

Neither Hunter, nor Fiona, deserve to be cheated on. They are both kind and loving people.

"Marissa, hurry up!" Maggie yelled as she ran down the stairs.

"I'm coming, don't get your panties in a twist." I yelled back to her as I threw my last shirt in and zipped up my bag.

I quickly ran downstairs to where the family was, all except Anthony who they were picking up at his new apartment in which he got during those two months. He ended up moving in with a friend of his from school.

"Ready to go?" Maggie's mom asked me, and I smiled and nodded at her.

Once we finally got to his apartment, we saw that he was already ready. He was standing outside of the building with 2 small suitcases in his arms.
