Harris had told him everything they had on Yousseff. The man had gone into hiding straight after having killed Terra. It had taken him some time to get new men in place and regain his bearings. It was agreed that he wasn't through with Beau. Not that Beau understood that as he'd taken his fiance from him in such a brutal fashion. The question left to ask was what did he want with him this time around? Deciding to hold off on going back to the station he drove on to Loraine's. He wanted to talk with her. She would better his mood.

Walking through the door, it was magnetic the way their eyes found each other. Her smile was wide as she took him in. Luckily for him there were no customers waiting in line. Making his way over, he leaned his arms on the counter. "It is good to see you." A blush crept into her cheeks as she leaned on the counter as well. "I've been waiting for you to come by. There's something I need to let you in on." His brow rose at the tone in her voice. It was clearly something she really had been sitting on. "I'm all ears. What's going on?"

Tapping a finger, she pulled a face. "Ina came by. Told June and I about your house being broken into. Said there was a crowd and she had wanted to speak with you but knew you were too tied up. Then she went on to tell me that someone she is close to saw us at the sushi restaurant getting cozy." He had to hold is breath a handful of seconds before letting it out. "I'm sorry she's such a menace. I wouldn't have given her even a moment of my time if I'd seen her. Does it bother you that we were seen together?"

She didn't like seeing the question in his eyes. It was...painful. "No. Not at all. I was more concerned about you. It seems to me like she's going to try and come at you from every angle. No matter what it may be. You know. I don't even think I heard her name before you got into town. Is that terrible of me?" She had never thought of herself as a bad person but maybe this qualified. Beau shook his head. "It's not. You're a busy woman with a business to run. I can handle Miss Ina. Don't you worry none about that."

She believed him. "Can you talk about it or would you rather not?" Drooping his gaze he reached for her hand. "It's alright. The place was a complete disaster. I went through every room and nothing was taken. So I can't say as to why they broke in." She bit her lip. "Since the start of this investigation everything has felt so...off." He was in agreement. "I'll tell you what. Keeping my patience when we need a lead is getting harder. I just don't buy that Allison's kidnapping was random."

That had her attention. "How so?" Meeting her inquisitive gaze, it was easy to relay his thoughts to her. "I've watched the tapes. They seemingly knew where she was going to be. Down to the time. How? We've ruled out family. She has no ex boyfriends to speak of and Colson was adamant she never had a stalker. So we're left questioning. What are we missing?" A shiver went through her at his words. He was implying the threat was near, they just needed to pin point it, if only they knew how." They couldn't take one step forward when they were stuck in place.

"There were no prints on the paper. I'm sorry." Laying her hand over his, she shook her head. "You have nothing to be sorry for. This individual was careful. We've both been targeted so we need to stay alert. The town is not going to have an easy time coming down from this when the investigation wraps up." No, it wasn't. Rubbing his thumb over the back of her hand, she stood straight. "We could take our minds off this with our second date. Tonight." Smiling, her expression was earnest. Now how was he supposed to say no to that? Oh, right. He wasn't. "Tonight it is. I'll swing by same time." She was nearly bouncing in her excitement. "Sounds good. Can't wait."

Back at the station as he walked by Rosalie he didn't miss the curious gaze she gave him. Harris was right. He would need to come clean to her. Sooner than later. Yousseff was not a man you took lightly. If they crossed paths, she shouldn't be left in the dark. It wasn't right. She needed to be ready. Maybe after his date with Loraine he would ask her to meet up with him. Coming to the chief's office, he found it empty. Either he was using the restroom or getting himself a coffee. Deciding to wait, he took a seat.
