There was no lying to himself. Hearing Colson's nose give under the force of his hit was satisfying. The guy didn't even utter a sound as he crumpled to the ground. Looking down at him, he didn't have to check if he was unconscious. Blood flowed down his lips and cheek to drip a steady beat to the ground. Shifting his attention back to Rita and Loraine, it took Rita a moment longer to regain her composure. Her gun hand wavered, ever so slightly. "So you took him out. So what? I can handle you alone. Both of you."

As she went to redirect the gun to Loraine's head, a series of shots rang out. They both knew the first shot had been from Jones. "That moron. He actually took my words seriously." Watching her, Beau could see her coming unhinged. His next choice of action was extremely risky. Though it all he had in his arsenal. Any moment now his guys would storm the door looking for them. He had to make sure she didn't get a shot off before then. "Who did you tell him to shoot?" Rolling her eyes, she scoffed. "I told him to shoot that damn agent. If I'm lucky one of your guys has excellent aim. Saving me from further dealings with him."

The greater majority of them were. More than likely Jones had been shot to death. That left him with a delusional woman who really thought she was getting out of here. Well technically she was. In cuffs. He needed to get her to remove the gun from Loraine's head before he could proceed. Shifting his eyes to Loraine, he tried to convey that he was about to make his move. If she got it, she had no reaction.

Whipping out his knife, the move worked as intended. The gun was now aimed at him. "Those morons really believed you wouldn't take at least one weapon in. I should have just gone at this alone. Mistakes would not have been made. This ends. Now." She was mid step when Loraine launched herself sideways, taking Rita by surprise. The impact had both women toppling to the ground. Grunting on impact, Loraine sucked in a breath. Looking at Rita, the gun had flown from her hand. Beau was on it in seconds. Taking the bullets, he shoved the gun in his waistband, tucking the bullets in his pocket.

Rita let out a feral cry as she attempted to go after him. His movements were swift as he wrangled her to her stomach, wrenching her arms behind her back before getting zip ties around her wrists. In that moment he heard his men breach. Calling out, he yanked a pissed off Rita to her feet. She sneered at him as his men reached the doorway. "I should have pulled the trigger." His response to that was a heavy sigh. The guys had to be careful not to trip over Colson who was now coming to. The blood had made a mess of his face.

Handing Rita over while Colson was handled, he went over to cut Loraine free. As soon as the bindings fell away she was in his arms. "I knew you were going to make it. I just knew it." Pulling back tears filled her eyes. Relief swept through him. "I owe you the worlds biggest apology getting you into my mess." Brushing away the tears as they fell, she shook her head. "I don't need one. I just need you. Also to get out of here and never see this place again." That, he could do.

Their moment was interrupted. "Sir. The lady should probably get looked at." Nodding, they followed back up the stairs. Once outside, she stopped short, realizing just how much time had passed. The same officer informed Beau that Jones was indeed dead. That his bullet, intended for agent Harris had been taken by Rosalie when she jumped in front of him. Loraine took off at hearing this. Heart hammering, she knew Beau was right on her heels. Frantic as she was to get to her friend she didn't register the looks she was given from the other officers.

Laying eyes on Rosalie, she sat with her bullet proof vest in her lap, Harris sitting on the left side of her, expression disgruntled. She looked winded. Kneeling down on her other side, she asked, "How bad?" Her friend looked at her with a raised brow. "It would have been a hell of a lot worse had I not been wearing the vest. As it is, I'm just bruised and really sore. What happened to you?" Realizing she was crying again, she shook her head. "Nothing as painful as a bullet. I'll be fine. We'll be fine." With that she hugged her. "I still insist you get checked out, officer Duvall," Harris said.
