"-Can't let them go back to Alan-"
Blue jolted awake. He was tied to a chair and there was no light source whatsoever.
"Why not?" someone said. Blue recognized the voice to belong to Mango. Deciding against the worst, Blue dropped his head and pretended to still be unconscious, all the while listening into the conversation.
"Ever since the hollowhead's been coming up with things I've been uneasy. It took them two weeks to connect the links between them and the farmers," Mango said.
"You could've waited a few days. Let them suspect something else before you launched the trap. It'll be obvious to them that you're behind it if you try to kill them the moment they get a hang on it," was the reply.
"I can't think of things like that. You know I can't."
"I know you can't. That's why I'm telling you know."
"It's too late. The action's already been done. If you'd've thought of this sooner, then-"
Blue flinched a little as there was a whistle in the air, a thud, and a small crack. He heard a groan behind him. Turning around he realized it was Green, tied to another chair with his back to him.
"Shh." Blue tried to shut him up, but then he realized that Green WOULD NOT shut up.
Green decided to have a full on panic attack instead, then he came to his senses and shut up.
Too late. Two figures stepped into the room. It was too dark to see properly, but Blue realized that EITHER ONE of them could pass as Mango. Both too tall to walk properly, one of them seized Blue's neck and lifted him (and the chair.) It was not comfortable.
"What did you hear?" A gender neutral voice said. Blue noticed it was overlaid with a tinge of static. He took mental note of it.
"Nothing," Blue choked. "I woke up to Green screaming before you guys came in."
"We're gonna die today. We're gonna die today. We're gonna die today..." Was all he heard from Green the entire time. On repeat.
The tall figures decided that Green was insane enough, so they took their leave.
Blue noticed his ropes loosening up. He thought it was from dangling in the air so much. He wedged his way out until one of his hands could break open, and then his other. He quickly untied both his feet and set to work on Green.
The moment Green was free, he stopped murmuring and shot up, clipping Blue on the nose with his hand all the while.
"OW-" Blue yelled, before he found Green's hand across his mouth. The next second they were in a dark corner. No one could see them.
In an instant, the dark figures came back. They checked the area, rose the alarm, then one of them slapped the other across the face.
They left the room. Green decided it was safe to go out, and it turned out it was.
Blue located a vent in the room. Feeling like some sort of spy, he dislodged it and crept through. Green followed silently.
They were met with fresh air on the other side, leading to a forest. Blue, trying to keep up with Green's sprint, ran into the forest as fast as possible.
It wasn't until Green tripped over a branch that blue had realized they had gone to far.~Author's note~
