It's been three days since that morning in the boy clothes, although it feels a lot longer. There are about ten people living in this house and they are all from different places and different times. The house we live in is on a small island in the sea, far from any one that might hurt us. The house was built under big trees, hiding it from the flying machines that could spot us and become curious. Although the island is small, it's very pretty. There is a small, cold stream that runs through the center of the island, I think it's fed by springs beneath the ground. The weather is getting colder here, wherever here is. I'll ask where we are at dinner. The trees here are tall and the leaves have begun to fall, covering the ground in their fiery colors. I explored along the beach as well. It's rocky and the salty water is ice cold. Sea gulls sit on the rocks as the tides rise and fall. My favorite place so far is at the top of the island. It's a bare spot on a rolling hill. As you climb to the top in front of you is a cliff. It's not too high but it's still amazing. Looking down you can see waves crashing at our island. Sometimes at high tide the waves are so intense the spray can hit you in the face if you're looking down. Although I'm safe here, I'm not completely happy. I miss my old life, how simple it was. I'm thankful to be alive though of course. Tomorrow we are going to land to get supplies. I'm exited but more nervous. The world must have changed a lot since when I was born.
