July 1st 1957

Elvis just couldn't stay away from his parents or you that long. After a couple months being in Texas for basic training he phoned in, wired money, and moved you all up to a cramped trailer off base where you, his parents, and his friend Lamar Fike would all attempt to live, however once a few more of his cousins Gene and Junior Smith and Red and Sonny West came up, you decided to move into their shared house while Elvis upgraded his parents and Lamar to one right next door. It was a fun and finally more comfortable living situation. It was early in the morning and the house was silent. That was the thing about living with all the guys, they slept late and you were able to savor the peaceful mornings by yourself. You proceeded to get dressed in some high wasted shorts and a red blouse and got your camera, swinging the strap over you as it hung securely around your neck. You walked to the kitchen and made a fresh pot of hot coffee and went to sit out in your back porch. You could see almost directly into Elvis and his parent's kitchen and she that Elvis most likely had already left as Gladys cleaned some dishes. You took your seat on a chair and sipped the black coffee, savoring the chilly Texas morning. It was early enough to still see the dew on the ground and the sun just barely peaking over the horizon through the large oak trees that surrounded the houses. Texas had quickly grown on you with its natural beauty and quiet towns. You test out your lenses for the day and snap a picture of Elvis's house.

The door to your porch suddenly opened and out walked Sonny, Red's younger brother

The door to your porch suddenly opened and out walked Sonny, Red's younger brother. His hair was dark brown, long to his ears, and he was probably the more attractive of Elvis's friends. Although you had never talked much, he always had a warm smile and inviting aura about him. He had more of a southern twang to him and even the way he carried himself. He was always the gentlemen, ensuring you were also cared for when around Elvis. He nodded, holding his cup and took a seat next to you. "E.P already make it off to the base?" He asked. "Yup, probably before any of us were awake. Poor thing. He's definitely not used to that kind of life." You said and smiled slightly at the thought of his cute baby like whine he would do whenever it was too early in the morning. "That's very true. Its too early for me matter a fact." Sonny chuckled. For the first time you had picked up on Sonny's cute small dimples and his kind brown eyes that seemed to sparkle when he was laughing and smiling as well. It almost shocked you at how you started to feel, but after all you knew Elvis wasn't able to be completely faithful to you, whether that was just who he had slowly become because of his growing ego or the press and Colonel pressuring him to date beautiful women like Anita, he went along with it happily, so you did as you pleased as well, after all what you didnt know didnt hurt you and same went for him. Your new strange feelings were interrupted as you heard the door to Elvis's back porch open from over the fence. "Y/N, Sonny! I thought I saw yall! Good morning!" Gladys called. You both stood up and waved. "Satnin, Elvis wants you on base this morning for pictures to send Colonel Parker!" She called and you gave a thumbs up. "I'll be there in a bit, thanks Gladys!" You called and turned towards Sonny again. "Always needed by his side?" Sonny questioned with a laugh. "Seems like it." You said with a slight giggle. "Well, don't wanna keep E.P waiting. We'll expect you back for lunch? I'm cookin this time." Sonny smiled proudly. "I wish. He'll probably keep me around until he's let off for the night." You shrug, knowing Elvis always loved your company on base. "Damn, well I guess I'll just have to cook for you another time." Sonny smiled and gave you a hug and you went to Elvis's beck and call.
