When I felt the train jolt to a stop my face almost hit the floor. I don't really know when or how I fell asleep on this train. The ride was very bumpy and uncomfortable but I somehow managed. I can rarely get a good night's sleep because of my nightmares and parents yelling throughout the night so I will take any I can get at this point.

As I hear the people move away from the train I grab my bag and jump out of the train car. I then go under the fence at the back of the station and start to walk. I don't know how I'm going to find my brother. I have no clue where he lives he never mentioned it in the letters he sent. Before I knew it I had ended up in town or what seemed to be the outskirts anyways.

There wasn't many shops around so I guessed I was in the poor part of town. I'm honestly glad I ended up in the poor section instead of the rich. In my brothers letters he had explained what socs are and I wasn't taking any chances. As I continued to walk I passed a few shops, a movie house, the dingo, and a drive in. The Dingo caught my attention because I was hungry but unfortunately I didn't have the money to buy anything so I kept going.

Up ahead I saw a gas station and figured someone there could help me. As I walked towards it I read the sign hanging that said it was the D.X. I really hoped someone there could help me find Dallas. I didn't like walking these unfamiliar streets which socs could be on at any given time. I had almost wished I didn't think of that because the next thing I knew I heard a mustang engine approaching behind me.
