Apologies over Pizza ( Mike Wheeler )

TW : Arguments, kissing.

You heard the doorbell ring as you got up. Your little brother Dustin in his room trying to contact Suzie for the 4th time that day. 

"God Dustin," I said, rolling my eyes "Stop worrying about her." 

"Yeah but she hasn't picked up all day. That's weird."

 Well Dustin 1, She could be out with her friends. 2, She has a life apart from you and 3, Why are you so worried? We both know she would never cheat on you." 

"Oh, yeah.." Dustin said, realising he was just overreacting. 

The bell rang again more urgently this time. 

"Idiot." You sighed. Suzie was coming round to Hawkins again in a few days but the fact he felt the need to contact her again showed you how serious he was about her. You wished Mike felt that way about you. 

They had got into an fight earlier that week over the phone about his work. They had opened a Surfer Boy Pizza place downtown and Mike got a job there and you were supportive but he kept being too tired to do anything with you after his everyday shift and you started to get irritated by it. 

You didn't want to tell Mike how you felt in case you both got into an argument but he snapped at you after one of his long shifts and you broke. You told him everything, leaving him dumbfounded as you left the house after saying goodnight to his parents. 

You'd been ignoring his calls and hanging out with the girls so you don't have to talk to him.

You'd ordered from his work but you knew that his usual shift schedule meant he would have been off half an hour ago.  

"I'll be right back with our pizza." I called running down the hall. "Then Back to The Future!" 

You ran to the door and opened it. In that split second, you wanted the ground to swallow you whole. You went to slam the door but he stuck his foot out, blocking it. 

"Y/n please, we need to talk," Mike said, wincing as I tried to force the door closed, his foot still in the way. 

"What?" You snapped, obviously not in the mood. 

"Look, I'm sorry. I was just trying to save some money up."

"Money, for what?"

"So I could get this made for you"  He thrusted a necklace into my hands. 

I stared at it in shock, letting the door slide from my grip, giving Mike the opportunity to slip inside and put the pizza down. 

The necklace was a simple silver chain with 1/2 a 20 DnD dice. On the flat side, was a engraving. It was both your names in a heart. 

"My mum paid for most of it honestly." Mike said, rubbing the back of his neck. " I have the other half, if your wondering. 

He held up his side of the dice. I smiled and rolled my eyes. 

"How could I stay mad at you?" You laughed "Especially after your paying for both mine and Dusty's pizzas. "

"That.." He want to protest but gave in "Fine, this once." 

You smiled and ran into his arms, him spinning you around. 

"I love you y/n/n." He smiled.

"I love you more, Mikey."

He leaned in to kiss you and butterflies exploded in your stomach. Just as our lips were about to touch, Dustin burst into the room. 

"I GOT THROUGH TO SUZIE AND SHE'S OK...umm Mike what are you doing with my sister?" Dustin said, eyeing the two of you. 

You both went bright red and rearranged yourselves next to each other. 

"What were you saying, Dusty?"  I said, trying to inch around the scenario. 

"Suzie, she's ok." 

"I told you, Dusty."

"Did I tell you she's coming in 2 days?" 

" 2 DAYS?! OMG this place is a state. We'll have to do a big spring clean tomorrow." I freaked out, with my head in my hands. 

"We can get everyone together to help" Mike suggested.

"Yeah, It'll be fine." Dustin said as I calmed down. 

"Fine. Now let's go. The pizza is getting cold." 

Mike and I sat together on the sofa as Dustin put the movie in. He came to sit down and noticed how close we were. He strutted down and sat in the middle of us, side-eyeing Mike. You burst out laughing as they stared at each other threateningly. They looked at you and smiled, happy to see you happy, then went back to watching the movie and kicking each other.

This was going to be a long night.
