"How was your lunch? I still can't believe you left me" Brendon snapped as Bethany came into the room. She locked the door and walked in, "I'm sorry babe. It was a girls only lunch" she said as she gave him a kiss. "So how was it?" he asked, it was time for her to be honest with her husband. "Tina picked up on the tension yesterday," Bethany said. "Tension?" Brendon asked with a frown. Bethany continued "so she was just asking if everything was alright" Bethany said. "Don't tell me you told her" Brendon snapped. "I honestly had no choice," Bethany said. "Damn it! This should have been discussed before you went telling everyone" he snapped. "I only told Tina and shouldn't this be something I decide? I am sick and dying Brendon and I wanted to be honest" Bethany said. "I am your husband, though you should have come to me before even thinking about telling her" he snapped. "There is also something I need to tell you" Bethany said slowly. He was going to be even angrier once he found out the truth. She sat on the bed, "can you sit down?" Bethany pointed to the chair. "Should I sit down?" Brendon asked "please" she begged. He slowly did, she took a deep breath "I want to be honest with you. I have had cancer before" she said. Brendon frowned "before? What did you mean before?" he asked. "A few years ago... I found a lump" Bethany said. "Why didn't I notice it?" Brendon asked "you were gone. I was home alone" she said. "Anyway I went to my doctor... it was malignant." "What the actual fuck Bethany" Brendon snapped. Bethany jumped at the harshness in his voice. He stood "you had this before and never said anything to me about it" Brendon snapped. "But it was taken care of then" Bethany said. Brendon walked out and slammed the door.

Thinking about the other night, Miracle couldn't bear staying in the same room as Robert. She had requested to change her room. "Let me see if we have any availability" the lady at the front desk said, going through her computer. "Okay looks like we do have one availability" she said. "Oh thank God. I will pay the extra" she said as she dug in her purse and pulled out her card. She gave it to the receptionist when someone caught her eye. It was Brendon Williams. "Brendon!" she called but she guessed he didn't hear her. He walked in the direction of the bar. After the lady gave her her card and key she went after him.

Brendon was so angry, how could Bethany keep something like that from him? And why would she tell Tina out of all people? "Beer please" he said, and the bartender went to get his order. "Well, if it isn't Brendon Williams" he turned to see Miracle. "Where's Bethany? I didn't know you guys were staying here too" Miracle said. "Yeah" he said, the bartender came with his beer. "Thanks," he told the bartender. "looks like you're in a mood. Mind if I join you?" she asked. Brendon shrugged all he thought about was Bethany's lies, "I see" she said as she sat down beside him. "I've seen your work on television about helping black communities," Miracle continued. "Yeah," Brendon said, looking at his bottle. He really didn't want to talk about work or pretty much anything.

Whatever Bethany did must have got Brendon pissed. Miracle thought as she she ordered a drink from the bartender as they left. Miracle continued to try to get something out of him. "It's crazy to think you know someone...Or something and figure out it was all a lie" Miracle said. "Tell me about it" Brendon said, taking another swig of beer. "Look, whatever Bethany did I am sure she didn't mean any harm by it" Miracle said. She remembered Bethany was always a good hearted, warm, and kind person. She took her drink from the bartender with a nod of thanks. "What if you had known something that could possibly change everything?" Brendon asked, Miracle took the olive out of her martini and plopped it in her mouth. She laughed, "that's something I'm trying to figure out," Miracle said. "But what you can do with what you know now is to work it out. I mean I don't know what you're going through... but that seems to be the way to go" Miracle said. Here she was giving him advice and yet she refused to listen to her sister. "Thanks for the advice... I'll talk to her but right now I just need to take it all in" Brendon said. "No problem. We were all friends once" Miracle said. Now she had to get her bags moved to her new room before Robert got back. She finished her drink "hope everything works out for you" Miracle said.
