It should've been a day like any other, a simple trip to the water-park with Mandy, yet something incredibly strange and unusual happened. "You really want us to go down the biggest slide here? Dude, that's freakin' insane." She smiled fearlessly. "Yeah I wanna go down the biggest slide! Come on, it'll be fun." I caved in to her request. I swear, it's like I can never say no to my friends. "Alright, let's go. Can't be that bad I'm sure." In reality, I was absolutely terrified. Eventually we got up the stairs to the entrance of the slide tube, which was strangely big. I mean, big enough to where two single riders could go in at once. Despite having been to this park several times, I've never seen it, much less have any friends made mention of it. We got seated in our tubes side by side and down we went. I was screaming of course because I was scared as hell, but she was smiling the whole way, until we hit a certain part of the slide. "Finally a slower part, it's oddly wide though." Something about this didn't feel right. Somehow before my eyes Mandy took my phone from.. Somewhere in her swimsuit, I don't know where she'd keep it, and dipped it in the water, absolutely soaking it. "DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? THAT WAS EXPENSIVE!" She responded almost nonchalantly. "Don't worry, it's just fine. You'll see." She put it away back to wherever she had it before. Once we hit the bottom of the slide and got out she handed me my phone. "Turn it on! I swear it works still!" By some magic it DID work, as if it was never in water. To clarify, I don't have one of those expensive water-resistant models, just a standard model. "But, how? This has gotta be some sort of miracle. A miracle you were somehow consciously aware of..." She took my hand and brought me to the very back of the park to some old and suspicious looking building, a place it seemed nobody had been. She went inside, signaling me to follow along. "What are we doing here? This doesn't look safe..." Like before, she spoke fearlessly. "Oh come on, don't be such a wuss. I promise it's safe, just follow me." I went in reluctantly, and what was actually within was quite a shock.
