Standing in front of my home, I mentally prepared myself for what could happen. She might hate me and possibly even try to kill me, or maybe I can be at peace and she won't hate me.
I went inside in human form, fearful of what might happen once I change. "Well, you're home early. Is everything ok?" Her voice was as kind and sweet as ever, I don't want to lose that. "Mom... I need to tell you something. Please, no matter what, don't freak out." She looked apprehensive, but still caring. "Okay, what is it?" I changed form to android form, ready for anything. "Things are changing, and I've taken on this form I can enter at will. This is all going to sound incredibly far-fetched, but time itself is at stake. I joined this group of androids that fight against the opposing android faction who seek to destroy and mess with the timeline, to rewrite history itself. I'll be leaving home, and likely this time, and you most likely won't see me for a good while. This is something I have to do. I have to travel through time to save the timeline." To my surprise, she wasn't angry. Rather, she was saddened. "Well, this wouldn't be the first time I've heard this from someone." I was taken aback. She'd never made mention of this. "I can tell this is important to you, and potentially on a grander scale than I can imagine. You're free to go. But when this is all said and done, I've got quite a few stories for you. Please just come home safe. I love you Nova." I gave her a hug goodbye and ran out of the house, suppressing the tears. I was worried for no reason, and yet, her reaction affected me so much. After getting myself together, I decided to go back to Mandy to get started on this journey.
