I rose with the sun, ready to leave home for what could possibly be the last time. My plan is to come back after I change and see how mom reacts. If it's negative, I'll do what needs to be done. Be that leaving home forever or fighting for my life, as much as I'd rather not do that. I left the house, anxious about the future. From this day on, I'll be an android and possibly travel across time to protect the timeline. But, I still want an answer to what started this whole thing. That moment when she drenched my phone in water, I never got an answer to how she did that. It has to have something to do with androids, like a power they have or something. Everything I know points to that. Gathering my things, I left to see Mandy and the others, to meet my new future. Arriving at the waterpark, everything was strange. It's as if time itself had stopped, the wind stopped blowing and the water stopped flowing, all movement ceased except for my own. Yet somehow, I could hear other footsteps. "Nova? Is that you?" Mandy came out from somewhere, armed with one of her guns in android form. "Who else would it be? I haven't seen anyone else moving." In a flash of white she changed back to human, her gun disappearing along with it. "Well, see, all androids are resistant to time stopping. I'll explain more later though, we need to get you to the tent and get started." She took my hand and led me to the tent, taking me to one of the furthest rooms back. "Just close your eyes and lay down, this won't take long. I promise it'll be painless." I laid down and closed my eyes, and somehow I drifted off to sleep. When I awoke sometime, I felt different. "Well good morning Nova. How do you feel?" Everything felt so different, almost... robotic. I looked at my body, and it was done. Everything about me, my hands, my face, my legs, every single part of my body was changed to be completely robotic. "Holy shit... WAIT MY VOICE TOO???" Even my voice had changed to be robotic sounding, yet with a slightly human tone to it. "Yep. When you take on your android form, your voice changes as well." I stood up and walked around a bit to adjust. Everything felt so strange and new, but somehow so familiar. "I think I've got it down... So, how do I change back to human form?" She stood up and placed her hand near her heart and closed her eyes. "Just focus your energy on your heart and will, and you'll change." Like the times before, she was embraced by light, and entered her android form. "Now try it. The more you do it the easier it becomes and the quicker it happens." I copied her motions and focused inward, when a burst of light engulfed me. Before I knew it, I was human once more. "You've got it down perfectly! Now, change back to your android form and we can get to work on combat." I changed back quickly, still getting used to my more robotic body. "So, we've got about three different options for weapons. There's guns, which come in a large variety. Memory disks, which can act as short close-range attacks and ranged, albeit somewhat limited, and several different types of melee weapons, if you're more into medieval ages weaponry." I didn't think there'd be so many options, since I've only seen people use guns. "I think... I want to use a blade of some sort." I've always dreamed of using a sword, so this is my chance. "Well, that's a rarity. In that case, when you're in your android form, focus your energy inward without changing, and your chosen weapon will appear before you." I focused on myself, and some seconds later, a double-sided blade appeared before me. I took it in hand, really getting that all of this was real. "So, how do I put it away?" She summoned her gun and just swung her arm and it disappeared into crystals. "All you have to do is let it go. I just swing to add some extra flair." I let go of my weapon, and just like that it disappeared. I tried grabbing it again and focused with ease, and it appeared before me. "I think I get the idea. Seems simple enough." Mandy had this look of approval on her face. "Well, that's about all you need to know. We can work on time travel later, but for now I'm sure there's other things you need or want to do." As soon as she said we were done I ran out to go home, though not without one last thing. "I'll be back soon!"
