"The Infinity Witch? No way, that's a myth."
"Are you really so sure about that?"
Being a homeschooled 15 year old orphan with superpowers, Carmen King felt like the universe was punishing her, like it had something against her entire existence. She...
As soon as her aunt left their apartment for work, Carmen quickly grabbed her bag and opened her window making her way through and out to the fire escape. Before doing anything else she made sure to watch her aunt's car drive away, then she climbed down the ladder with haste. Once she got close enough to the ground she jumped down landing hard on her feet, though it felt like landing on a pillow.
She fixed her hair and looked back up at her window, "Shit!" She cursed seeing as she had left it wide open. Glancing around her, to make sure the coast was clear she held up her hand and with a quick swipe down, the window closed. She thanked her stupid powers, for once and then she was off on her adventure.
This was a normal occurrence for the 15 year old, ever since her aunt got a new job, a year ago; which meant she worked nights now, Carmen would sneak out to an old abandoned warehouse and practice her powers there. Which was going pretty smoothly, since she had gained much more control over her powers than she had before, and had even mastered some skills.
This night was a bit different though, the girl wanted to try out her powers in a public location to see how she could handle herself. Tonight she was going to steal something using her telekinesis, and what better thing to steal than something she couldn't legally buy; alcohol. Now, don't get her wrong, Carmen didn't aspire to be a criminal, she actually had a good heart, however the guy who worked at her local convenience store was an old creep and she had no problem doing bad things to those who deserved it.
As she entered the store she saw that the man was indeed working that night, and she mentally celebrated. She walked through the small aisles pretending to browse her options and getting as close as possible to the bottles of vodka. She watched as a young woman went up to the register to pay and the old man looked her up and down, Carmen had to fight the urge to gag.
The man turned away to grab something, giving her the perfect opportunity, she opened her bag and held up her hand making sure nobody could see her and gently moving her hand she picked up the bottle and made it float towards her slowly. As soon as it got close enough to her she reached her other hand and grabbed it, quickly stuffing it in her bag.
The blonde girl then grabbed a bag of chips and headed to the counter, just as the other lady had left. Carmen gave the old man a forced smile and put the chips down in front of her, she reached into her back pocket and grabbed an empty wallet, opening it in front of him, he saw there was no money in it.
"Oh... shit." Carmen said before letting out a groan, "I must of left my money at home." She concluded, stuffing the wallet back in her pocket. "You don't suppose I could just have this do you?"
"Sorry, sweetheart, no can do." The man said, but then he looked at the young girl, glancing up and down, "Unless..."
Carmen watched the man carefully, wishing he would just look away from her, as if reading her mind the man's eyes instantly left her, seemingly forgetting she was there, she cleared her throat in confusion, making his eyes snap back to hers.
"Uh.. That's fine, I'll just eat at home." Carmen shut down his thoughts immediately before handing him the chips and leaving, she felt his eyes watching her back the whole time. As soon as she got outside relief washed over her, because for one; she successfully stole alcohol, and two; she didn't have a creepy old man's eyes on her ass anymore.
Looking down she caught sight of her hands, her eyes widened as she saw a yellow glow fade from them. Confusion came over her, her hands only glowed when she used her powers, though they were never yellow, only purple. Carmen shook her head, maybe she was imagining it, or it could have been the lighting.
The girl sighed, before quickly leaving the vicinity of the convenience store, though she made sure to not run, knowing that would look extremely suspicious. The old warehouse was just a few blocks away so she didn't have a problem walking there, and even if it wasn't a long walk it wouldn't have much of an effect on the girl as her powers gave her a high endurance.
Once she had arrived, she looked all around her making sure nobody was watching and quickly entered through a few broken boards on the side of the building. Dusting off her hands, Carmen looked around the huge empty warehouse, and let out a breath. The girl took off her bag and set it on a vacant chair, and took out one of her practice targets that she had hidden in the floorboards.
She set the target up a few feet away from her, "Okay, focas, focusing." She spoke aloud, closing her eyes and pointing her head down. Now, in deep focus she looked up, her eyes and hands glowing, a mass amount of purple energy coming from her fingertips. Reaching her arm back she quickly swung her arm around and shot the energy at the target, in an instant the target shot backwards hitting the wall and falling over.
Carmen smiled to herself, before holding her hand out towards her bag, a few seconds later the bottle of vodka she had stolen was in her hands. She opened it and took a sip, grimacing at the taste. Using her telekinesis she placed the bottle back on top of her bag and went back to her training.

After about an hour of training, Carmen decided to cut it short and go home, as she discovered that alcohol didn't help with controlling her powers; in fact it made it worse. Carmen stubbled on the street still sipping the rest of the vodka left in the bottle, she wasn't drunk per se just a little tipsy.
Looking up she found she was now at her apartment, so after stuffing the bottle back in her bag, she started climbing the fire escape. Once she reached her window, she used her telekinesis to unlock it, then pushed it up and climbing into her bedroom. The girl let out a sigh before falling backwards onto her bed.
She stared at the ceiling for a moment, basking in the peaceful silence, before she started feeling weird, almost like she was being watched. The teenager slowly sat up and looked out her window, expecting a bird or something to explain the weird feeling; but no, there was nothing. With one flick of her hand the window slammed shut and locked itself.
Carmen let out a breath and stood up, digging in her bag and grabbing her vodka from it, she was about to properly get in bed, but a voice from the corner of the room stopped her.
"You are one sneaky teenager, aren't you?"
