Travis

Val settles in nicely with my family through the rest of the afternoon. After our fun in my room, she and Eve spend a few hours in the afternoon having 'private girl time' in Eve's room. I pout that she was so far away, but decided to go help my dad and brothers out in the shed like I usually would.

Everything is great so far, but I'm worried Val will want to go back to her job and apartment. I don't know how I'll survive without shifting into my fur side and hunting in the woods, but for Val I'd manage.

While Val is gardening with Mom, I decide to go for a run in my fur side. I wish I could do it with Val, but I don't want to make her uncomfortable since, as far as we know, she can't shift.

I leave the shed after telling Trevor and Dad where I'll be going in case something happens. I move behind the shed and shed my clothes. The shift happens without even thinking, my skin prickling as fur grows through. My sense of smell immediately sharpens and I can pinpoint where everyone in my family is, even Eve who is sitting in the kitchen.

After shaking out my fur, I start trotting out into the trees. I can pick up a myriad of scents, but nothing unusual. Squirrels, skunks, deer, and even a bear somewhere far in the distance. Animals go silent in the trees as I run past, sensing a large predator close by.

I can smell a rabbit close by, so I crouch in some underbrush and watch silently as it nibbles on vegetation about fifty feet in front of me. I stalk closer, haunches raised and ready to pounce. The little thing raises its nose and swivels its ears trying to hear where I'm coming from. Just as it moves its legs to run, I pounce, catching its long hind leg in my jaws. It squeaks and thrashes. Not wanting to torture to poor thing, I quickly snap its neck.

Happy with my catch, I pick it up and start trotting back to the house where I know Val is still gardening with Mom. She's kneeling in the dirt, pulling weeds. Her long blonde hair is now plaited down her back. A grey tank top hugs her waist beautifully while denim jeans give me a great view of her delicious behind.

Both women turn toward me as I get closer. Mom looks miffed that I'm dragging home a dead rabbit while Val just looks amused.

"Travis Walter Scott, you are ridiculous," my mother admonishes, standing and reaching to take the rabbit from me.

She should know better, but she's so used to taking it straight from us whenever one of us brings an animal anywhere but straight to the shed. Mostly it's Trevor liking to play chase with her.

I didn't catch it for her and the thought of her taking it from me makes me growl softly and bare my teeth. I caught this for my woman, so she can grow healthy babies for me.

Val looks shocked that I just growled at my own mother, but understanding dawns in my mother's eyes. She purses her lips and sighs, leaving me alone.

"This one's for you, Val. Make sure he doesn't make a mess," she instructs before wiping her hands on her pants and heading toward the house.

Turning to me again, Val sits on her knees and gives me a sweet smile. I suddenly want to shift just so I can ravish those plump, rosy lips, but I need to get my job done. So I gently place the rabbit in front of her and sit back on my haunches, tail wagging slightly in satisfaction.

"Trav, you're so sweet. You caught this just for me?"

I bark once in response. Getting down on my belly, I inch my way towards her, making sure she stays comfortable. Standing I would probably reach her waist, close to three feet tall.
