9. "noses from our dragon slayers"

I had followed the group to their precious guild, and watched as they entered and greeted their family. From afar, of course. Peeking through the window to see an even larger and messier bunch of people, giving off a nostalgic feeling with their careless rowdy selves.

Amongst them though, I had my eyes on a pair of pink and yellow. Lucy and her daughter Nashi. The two had rushed towards three stray cats, one eating a raw fish, another sucking on a green fruit, and the other sitting on her high horse with a smug grin.

What's struck me the most was that these cats were... kinda weird. It looked like Lucy was talking to them? Not to mention, a blue colored cat, which sounds imaginary. but what's even crazier was that the kitties were actually.. TALKING BACK? And, they were FLYING?

Am I on drugs?

It didn't take long for the blue cat with white wings on it's back to fly over to Nashi, grabbing onto her shirt, and flying her towards a pair of teenagers, sitting on a table.

Maybe that's her babysitter?

Before I could try and overhear Nashi and her babysitters conversation, I heard loud footsteps and a cough, begin to catch the attention of everyone in the guild, directing our eyes to the stage, where an old short grandpa stood, with Lucy, the red head, and the irritating raven haired man with a punchable face, behind him.

"AHEM BRATS!" I'm guessing this is their 'guild master'? "Lucy has news for everyone!"

The grandpa announced, stepping aside for Lucy to take the lead. "I don't wanna get anyone's hopes up.. and I dont wanna sound crazy.." Lucy started off with a hesitant whisper, but loud enough for everyone to hear. "But I think... we found him."

At the last part, everyone in the guild's eyes widened.

"You found him?"

"Where is he?"

"Oh, I hope he's okay..."

"He's a man, he's fine!"

The entire guild mumbling questions to each other, looking with both hope yet confusion. "Well, where's pinky, bunny girl?"

Lucy sighed at the big question. "I-i don't know." she averted her gaze to her toes, with a look of disappointment and shame.

This time, the red head stepped up, grabbing Lucy's shoulder in comfort and stared at her guild with confidence. "All we know for sure is that, he's near the Heartfilia Estate."

"Whaddya mean, 'know for sure'? This could be anybody!"

"Unfortunately, it's not." The raven haired guy chimed in. "I can confirm that it was his magic power that we felt. And not to mention, I talked to James and there has been small unknown damages relating with fires near the area. That's definitely not caused by any animal."

Fires?

Everyone turned to one another with a look of skepticism, even muttering incoherent words of doubt. "So, if possible, we need the guild's help in finding him--"

"We definitely need a couple noses from our dragon slayers--" The armored woman suggested.

Before she could finish her sentence, Lucy interrupted her, nervously shouting. "B-but of course, we all have kids to look after, s-so if.. you all are busy.."

"No." a woman from the crowd stepped up, having heads turn to that direction. It was a white haired woman with a pixie cut and a guild emblem placed on her thigh. She looked up with determination. "I will help you, Lucy."

A long pause echoed the guild, an awkward silence surrounding everyone as the two girls looked at each other with sympathy, while everyone was staring at the scene in amaze.

It had felt like no one else would join this search, seeing that no one was talking. Until the blue cat from earlier flew to the sky, and raised his paw with a big grin. "Charla and I will search from the sky! AYE SIR!"

"It's been boring here without the salamander, anyways." a dark skinned man with piercings all over his body stood up, smirking, showing off his pair of fangs.

"Laxus would be happy to come while I watch over the kids!" a white haired woman, who looked awfully a lot like the girl from earlier chirped from behind the bar.

"I, too, want to come, but no one will watch over Esme.." a blue haired man with red tattoo running down from his eye muttered.

"Oh, I can watch over everyone's kids!" a blue haired short woman raised a hand, the other holding a book with a pair of twins running around her.

"I'll come!"

"I don't wanna-- but I guess I'll go.."

"We'll find him Lucy!"

"The Thunder God Tribe follows Laxus always! And if we goes, so shall we!"

What emerged from the awkward silence, became a loud cheer to find Lucy's beloved husband, Nashi's dad.

Shit, fuck, don't find him, you bastards!

Lucy said she was confident that this was him, and with this many people searching the Heartfilia Estate, they'll find him in no time. Although I don't want them looking, I'll just do something about it later if they do find him.

The more I watched everyone that said they would join the search, gather a large table, begin to plan. A gust of wind blew in, reaching me and entering through the window.

At first, it wasn't a big deal, until a few heads begin to bob up, and noses began to sniff the air, looking around in suspicion. The same movement Nashi and I do whenever we can smell Lucy's scent near.

"H-hey.." a nervous voice called out, catching the attention from everyone. "This smell..." the small teenaged blue haired girl

"It.. it can't be.."

This caught the attention of Lucy, who tilted her head in confusion and stared at the three who were trying to catch whiff of something. "What is it, Wendy? Gajeel? Laxus?"

"This smells like..."

"Natsu?'
