Gamagichi and I were captured.

I still couldn't believe it.
A perfectly devised plan gone wrong, just because Douma sensed something was up.

I was terribly bruised from Ayame's hair, while Gamagichi's condition was deteriorating.

He had almost frozen up, and had huddled up, trying his best to warm himself.

Tears streamed down my eyes. I couldn't bear to see someone who had been trying to help me die, again.
Even though Gamagichi was a demon.

As Ayame crashed me on the floor, I found Douma glare at her.
He didn't look at me once, and straight up approached Gamagichi's tiny figure.

"Oh dear, are you fine, Gamagichi?" He said, trying to attain his usual demeanor.

Gamagichi tried to say something, but his voice was muffled.

"Oh my, my, you can't speak can you? You know the best thing, you will never be able to speak again."

Douma's face became stern again.

"I thought you were loyal, Gamagichi. But you tried to steal someone important from me," He said.

I flinched at the word "important".
𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵?

No, I am not important. He is probably going to feed on me later.

𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭, 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯.

"But, Gamagichi, stealing us bad," He said, tapping Gamagichi's head with his fan, "and you no what's worse? Stealing from a God is absolutely unacceptable!"

He suddenly lost his mind, and picked Gamagichi by his neck, choking him.

"Pathetic, I never expected this to happen to my loyal follower," he said with a low voice, "and they need to be punished."

I watched horrified, as blood dripped from Gamagichi's neck.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴... 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯 2?!!

"Don't worry though," Douma brought back his carefree smile, "I won't kill you instantly, after all even you deserve to see the last beautiful night of your life. I will give you a slow and painful death. You will get to watch the stars, where you believe your family is. Finally, you can go there," He finished, with a bright smile.

I stared as Gamagichi completely froze up, like a block of ice.

He was still alive. Blood oozed out of the block of ice, as his almost lifeless eyes stared at the starry sky.

Douma started approaching me now.
𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥.

I knew he was powerful.
But I didn't know he was this life-threatening.

As he walked up to me, I squeezed my eyes tight, anticipating me death.

"Ayame, leave her, return."

"But..."

Douma gave her a cold look. Ayame sweatdropped.
Before returning to her usual form, she glanced at me with hateful eyes, that pierced right through my soul. Then she walked off, as if nothing happened.

Douma sat down on the ground where I was writhing in pain. He cupped my face in his hands.

𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴... 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨.

"Y/N," he said gently, "why do you want to leave me? I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
Tears flowed down from his eyes.

𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦.

Douma's hands glowed, as my body was filled with a cold spirit.
𝘐𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪?

However, hypothermia didn't set in for me. The coolness persisted in my body, it was relieving, as all my injuries and bruises caused to me by Ayame vanished in thin air.

𝘏𝘦... 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦?

Although the injuries were gone, the muscle cramps was still there.
He helped me sit up and hugged me.

I leaned against his chest, hearing a feeble heart beat.

"Y/N please don't leave me. You are the first person that has made my heart race. This heart, can you hear it?"

I slightly nodded.

"This heart beats for you."

All the blood of my body must have rushed to my cheeks, but I was shocked by Gamagichi's death, so I remained silent.

But I certainly felt my heart racing.

"Let's go back Y/N. The fireworks festival is approaching, and so is your birthday."

𝘔𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘺?
𝘖𝘩 𝘺𝘦𝘴, 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘺.
𝘏𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺.

Douma stood up, holding my hand, as I painfully stood up. However, I still couldn't walk.

He smiled, although I couldn't tell if it was his usual carefree smile or a genuine one.

He picked me up in his sturdy arms.
"Let's go Y/N."

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴?

As Douma led me in the darkness, I gave a last glance at Gamagichi. He must have died already.

𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪.

The events of the day had exhausted me, as I fell into a deep slumber in Douma's arms.
