You woke up in bed with your head on your laptop's keyboard. You had fallen asleep yesterday, pretty early, when watching a movie you newly found. You rubbed your face with a heavy sigh and sat up. You could barely open your eyes, trying to force them to stay open, but it was almost impossible. Morning tiredness is always the worst.
A trail of drool had formed in the corner of your lip and across your cheek, which you easily wiped off. You suddenly realized it was pretty cold inside your room, and the hair on your body stood right up, shivering. You've never felt this cold before, but it was obvious when you only wore a thin T-shirt and some shorts.
You tucked your legs under your body, sitting on your knees as you tried to look around your room. There was no source of the coldness, except... that open window. You sighed, rubbing your eyes while getting up. You quickly paced over to the window, holding your arms in a try to maintain the little warmth that was left.
You stood in front of the window, looking outside. The sun was reaching out with its rays, claiming every inch of the land. It was all familiar, except the trees. The few trees that were scattered around the neighbourhood were slightly changing colours. The leaves were turning to a golden yellow and vibrant orange. It was weird that you hadn't noticed before. It was October, after all.
The aroma of the air had changed, too. It was more damp and fresh, almost a bit rainy. It was nice, and you even caught yourself smiling. You shook your head, closed the window and turned around. You quickly walked over to your computer, pushed the top down, picked it up, and opened the drawer of your nightstand.
You placed it down in there, closed it right after and picked up your phone: the clock said 6:20.
Your eyes widened. You've never been awake this early, but, it was pretty nice. No one was up yet, and it was all just quiet. But, there was nothing to do. It was around an hour left until you had to leave, and you surely couldn't just fall back asleep again. But you also couldn't just be sitting there, doing nothing.
''Maybe a shower couldn't be that bad?'' You mumbled to yourself, itching your scalp. You had been too tired to take a shower since 4 days back, and you were beginning to worry that you were starting to stink and sweat. You stood there, staring into the same place. Seconds to a minute or two pass, and you finally snap out of your trance.
You then nodded, deciding on a shower. You wouldn't want to get looks on the second day of school.
You put away your phone and walked out your door, just turning left and getting into the bathroom. You closed the door behind you and locked it. The bathroom was rather clean, which was very surprising. When you came home from school yesterday, the floor was wet and stuff was lying everywhere.
