''Come on! We're going to be late because of you.'' Sayori's voice groaned at you. You had stopped by a bench just outside the school to pull up your socks.
''No, we're not!'' You huffed, stood up and hurried to Sayori's side again. She walked with you to school after waiting for you to get done outside your house for over 20 minutes. Sayori hooked her arm with yours and made you walk at her speed. You glanced at Sayori. Her eyes were dark and had a hard time keeping them open.
''Did you sleep well?'' You decided to question, pushing her slightly with your shoulder. Sayori tilted her head, looking at the earth. It looked like she was deciding on what to say.
''I... I think it was well.'' She confessed, nodding. You passed the school gate and walked over to the entrance to the building. ''I couldn't sleep at first. I only got around 4 hours of sleep.''
''Why?'' You asked again, tilting your head and leaning forward. You then got to the shoe lockers before Sayori got to answer. You opened your locker, took out your shoes and placed them down on the floor. Smoothly, you slipped out of your other shoes and put the others on.
Sayori was doing the same, but while doing it: she looked stuck in a trance. It was like she was zoning out and her body went on auto-pilot or something. Something was wrong with Sayori today. You had noticed it right away when you met Sayori outside your home.
''What's the theme of your poem today, then?'' You were trying your hardest to brighten up her mood, but you didn't know what to do. Sayori closed her locker, looking at you with a scrunched nose and pouting lips.
''You'll have to read it yourself!'' Sayori giggled, sharply turning around and hopping away. You jogged after, smiling. You were sure that Sayori was faking her emotions, but it was better than seeing her all blue and dead.
''Pleaseeee!'' You begged, clasping your hands together as you walked in front of the other. ''I'll tell you mine.'' You eagerly nodded, smiling widely. ''Have you even made a poem for today?'' You suspected, raising an eyebrow. Sayori turned her head away from you, clenching her fists.
''Y-Yes.'' Her voice was shaky and she was nodding slowly, looking back at you. She was trying to avoid eye contact with you at all costs. It was an obvious lie. You pushed Sayori, chuckling. The other stumbled a bit, scoffing. You turned around to run away, but as soon as you knew it: she lept onto your back and hung on.
Her arms were wrapped around your throat, and she was dragging you back. She put her chin on your shoulder and chuckled. You held Sayori's arms, trying to hold yourself up. She was surprisingly very strong.
''I'll tell you my poem if...'' Sayori hummed, thinking of something to say. ''...if you buy me something from the vending machines!'' An evil giggle escaped her lips. You scoffed, raising your eyebrows.
