wayne looked over at eddie, he was forming a smug smile. 'so you and steve huh?' he looked back on the road.

'what?' eddie sat up immediately, face completely red and looking at wayne.

'well eddie i don't want to assume anything but.' wayne trailed off.

'but what wayne, you're freaking me out.' eddie anxiously.

wayne laughed at eddie, he honestly wanted eddie to be up front.

it's not that he hated steve or that eddie was hanging out with people, he just wanted eddie to be safe.

it's now 3pm and eddie got dressed. he wore his favorite black sabbath t-shirt, his ripped jeans and black sneakers.

steve was fixing his hair, he was getting all dressed up. he wore a cream t-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

'god i look dumb', steve stared at his reflection, 'is he gonna think i look good.' steve sighed and left the house.

now on the road he quickly realize eddie told him that he lives across from max, so he turned down the long road heading to the trailer park.

'eddie, i'm here.' steve knocked and yelled into the metal door.

eddie swung the door open and stepped out.

he got in the car and strapped himself down, waiting for steve to do the same. eventually steve got inside, turning on the ignition and heading for the diner.

it was silent from the trailer to the main road, both of them not saying anything.

eddie finally spoke up, 'so about this morning, well it didn't freak me out steve that's all.' eddie patted steve on the shoulder.

'no, no i didn't want that to happen it just when guys wake up the-', 'steve it's fine, you're a real guy with guy parts.'

that last line made steve's stomach twist tightly and not in a good way, a oh no i fucked up way.

did eddie doubt himself? why would he? those questions made steve hurt.

'eddie don't say that man, you've always been a guy.'
steve place a hand on eddie's thigh shaking it.

eddie breath hitched, face turning red. steve hand left eddie's thigh, would he feel like a whore for asking steve to do it again?

dirty thoughts flooded his mind, but steve is straight
he would never go out with a freak like him.

steve snapped eddie out of his thoughts as the pulled up to the diner.

PINKLY DINER

eddie snorted 'really, pinkly.'

'yes really idiot, they have the best waffles you have to try them with me.' steve got out, excitedly running in.

once seated at their booth a blonde waitress came over to take their orders.

'hi so what can i get for you handsome.' she spoke softly, looking at steve with seductive eyes.

eddie quickly caught on but of course steve didn't.

'we'll get the triple waffle special with bacon and strawberries on top.' steve look up from the menu and to the waitress.

'coming right up.' she walked into the back to get the order placed.

eddie had his arms crossed, he glared at the door she disappeared through and hoping she wasn't going come back.

'hey, hey eddie you good.' steve reached over the table to shake eddie lightly.

'she was flirting with you, idiot.' eddie mumbled looking down at the diner table.

eddie was jealous, why was he jealous? it's not like steve liked him back or anything.

'she wasn't'

'yes she was'

'no she wasn't eddie'

'you're so fucking oblivious'

'why is it such a big deal?'

'because i l-, nothing'

eddie leaned back, slouching in the diner booth, waiting for the waffles. he almost slipped up, he almost told steve he liked him.

his thoughts got interrupted again, but not by that whore of a waitress, waffles and bacon.

'ok, you too enjoy.' she smiled grazing steve's arm with her nails.

eddie's grip on the butterknife got tight, eventually loosening, cause she walked away from the booth.

'ok let's eat, cause these waffles look good.' steve smiled at eddie.

god that smile, eddie could stare at for days. that smile alone could make eddie melt if he saw it every morning.

but in reality he wouldn't, steve isn't a faggot freak
and never will be one.
