Chapter 3: Death In The Family

After leaving London ariving in South Dakota. "Why in the hell is ajak way out here? I understand living off the land and being a hermit but damn!" Sprite and sersi laugh."Yea it's pretty far out, but look at the scenery it's beautiful and quite." Sersi said still laughing.
Snow thought for a minute. "Yea you're right. "I would move here its has a nice gloomy look." Ikaris hasn't said much since they left London. He was deep in thought about about happend at the club few night ago. He meant what he said to snow about loving her.
"Hey ikaris are you alright? you haven't talked much." Sersi looked concern. "I'm alright sersi just thinking about the deviants something is happening; I hope ajak can give us insight on what maybe going on.
Glancing at snow though the Mirror. Snow felt ikaris Leering at her she just looks up with smiling at him. Sprite interrupts the staring contest. Startling snow; "Hey snow you play any games on your phone?"
"Yes i do." Laughing, " I have angry birds along with some social media things i use want to see?"
"Oh cool yes i would." looking in excitement sprite giggles. "I use instagram for posting cute photos of a lot of plant life me." snow smiled. Sprite looked shocked for a second. "Oh my that picture! Snow You look hot." Laughing shrugging looking out the window "I know not what you speak of." Snow blushed.

Ikaris turned to ask "What picture?" Snow hiding her phone; "Nothing you need to see ikaris don't worry about it." Sersi just laughing "You know i can't help but love the car ride with all of you; Its fun i just wish one of you knew how to drive."
"I can drive Sersi, you just assumed one of us didn't." snow giggle's. Sprite shakeing her head "Damn that's cold."
Ikaris was still Glancing at snow wondering about that picture. He was going to say something. "We're almost there, ugh its so dark." Sersi interrupted.
Arriving a little after dark they see ajaks cabin It was beautiful had that rustic look with the feeling of a family home. Pulling up the lights were on. "She must be up?"Snow said.
they headed up to the house noticing the doors were wide open they looked all around. "Does she always leaves the doors open?" snow asks in a questioning tone. sprite with panic in her face ran upstairs to see if ajak was safe or home. Ikaris looked around noticed sersi was missing.

Sersi headed outside she noticed the backdoor opened. Looking around she noticed faint light flickering. She felt that something happed here; she got closer to the light seeing a body with panic she ran over stopping it was ajak.
"Oh my god NO ajak.!" placing a hand on her cheek her body was gray with veins showing under skin she was cold to the touch.

"Ajak please wake up don't leave us like this we still need you here."

She leans down hugging her fallen friend softly sobbing. She was going to alert the others when suddenly a little golden orb rises from ajaks chest.
Looking on with caution it starts to spin, then slams into her chest sersi was engulfed in a golden tinted orb of air.
Her eyes rolling in the back of her head feeling her body floating she awakens in complete darkness to ashriam before her.

Sersi has never layed her eyes on him before ajak was the only one he spoke with. Ashriam looming over her; she spoke up with hurt in her heart "Ajak is dead."
"I know, now you are the one to take her place." He explains to her this is her duty to make sure the Emergence happens. The emergence is the mission given by ashriam gave ajak she was to make sure that they development of man kind, but ashriam went to explain that with the progress of the human race they have made their own distinction.
Sersi didn't understand. He showed her where they came from, and how they're not living beings. Ashriam went on to tell how he created the deviants.  What they were breed for and how they evolved. She also found out the Earth was chosen to house a Celestials egg that will be born an bring about the destruction earth.
         The celestial needed the energy form the planet and all that inhabits it. Sersis was in shock knowing now why they were to help the humans evolve. It was to feed the sleeping baby god.
"You will continue ajaks work." Ashriam then disappears. She awakens from what felt like a dream. Everyone ran out the house hoping to find ajak and sersis.
         Sprite yells "I see her over by the fence!" Rushing over looking over in horror. "Oh No!" She gasped. "It's ajak is she?" Sersi with tears "Yes she's gone." ikaris with no emotions looked on into the darknes. snow cried "I didn't get a chance to see you ajak; I regret that im going to I miss you."
After a little bit everyone's inside snow made coffee for everyone. "Here sprite."
           "Thank you." Taking a sip calming her thoughts sprite shows a memory or her, and ajak dancing in the living room It was like mother and daughter.
     "She was like a mother to me; I didn't visit as often i tried to keep in touch now she's gone."
