You slowly wake up after what feel's like forever. Your left shoulder and the left side of your waist aches. You look around the room, you're not in your apartment building. You're in the hospital.

The heart monitor starts beeping a little faster. A nurse nearby comes into the hospital room, probably heard the change of the heart monitor. "Oh, good! You're awake."

She quickly takes one of those tiny flashlights and says. "Follow the light with your eyes and eyes only."

She then proceeds to move it from side to side. You keep your eyes glued on it no problem. She puts it away and smiles at you. You mumble something that you don't even hear yourself say. "You can take that off if you want."

You don't know what she's talking about at first until you feel your face and find an oxygen mask around your mouth and nose. You take it off and ask, "What...what happened?"

She gives you a look of sympathy. "Smoke was filling your lungs in the fire and you passed out. You've been here for a couple days."

You look towards your left and notice white gauze dressings on your shoulder going down to your waist. The nurse tells you before you can get your question out, "You were caught on fire, deary ."

You feel confused. "How did I survive? I was gonna die."

The nurse puts her index finger up. "But, you didn't."

"How?"

"Your robotic pal you work with saved you." She answers.

Sunny and Moon. They saved you. They saved your damned life. "Are they okay?!" You jump up to sit up.

"Yes, they're okay. They may have some burns on their metal, but that's about it. Oh, they might also need new clothes." She giggles lightly.

You rest back down. "Is there anything else?" She asks you.

You think for a minute. "I need to piss and I'm hungry." You state in a serious tone.

The Nurse chuckles, "I'll get you something to eat."

You get up and take your IV pole with you since there's one stuck into your arm. You use the bathroom and come back out smelling food. The nurse comes in with a trey of spaghetti. Your eyes sparkle and grab the trey from her and dig in. Two days without eating will make you eat hospital food.

While you're eating, the nurse explains, "We will keep you over night and see how you do. If your oxygen levels stay normal like they are now, you're free to go tomorrow."

You simply nod at her as you gobble down your food. She smiles at you and leaves the room.

Home. That's all you wanna go now. Home.

This is a shorter chapter, but I'll make the next one longer.
