Playdates

Enemy

You woke up this morning befuddled about last night. You slightly remember what happened; you blush remembering it. 

Sunny had mentioned earlier that he and you should have another playdate. You have a great idea of what you should do with him. "How about you and I bake something? Sounds fun, right?" You ask him

He glows up with excitement. "That sounds AMAZING! How about we make a cake?" He suggests. 

You wrap your arms around his waist, "That sounds great. I have to get the stuff, though." 

He smiles, "Could I come with you?" He asks with a whiny tone. 

You giggle slightly, "No, you have to stay here. I won't be long, I promise." You kiss his nose.

Sunny's metal gets hotter. You let go of him to get dressed (who follows you and watches with this shit-eating grin). You walk towards the door to exit but Sunny grabs your waist gently and says "I'll miss yoouuuu." 

You laugh under your breath, "I won't be long, Sun." 

"I love you"

"I love you, too." 

You fiddle with the car keys before leaving. You lock the door (for the safety of the robot). You go downstairs and head to your car to get ready for the wonderful day.

You have arrived at your local grocery store and are already inside. You're in the baking aisle; debating if you want the lemon cake or the chocolate cake. How about both? You drop the two boxes into your cart. That's when you see him. Liam. 

Your heart drops to your stomach so quickly. You feel nauseous. He's wearing a red plaid shirt with blue jeans. He has a new scar across his nose. You begin to tremor. Why are you even scared of him?

Liam notices you and smiles like you two are friends. He walks up to you with his basket. "Hello" He acts all calm. 

You don't say anything to him. You're frozen. He looks down at his shoes with guilt in his eyes. "Look, I'm sorry I did all that stuff to you and said those impertinent things to you." 

You just give him your A plus resting bitch face. You walk away with your knees trembling. You quickly grab a tube of frosting and sprinkles and exit the aisle. You go to the checkout and let the employee scan your items. Liam appears behind you and waits patiently. He puts his hand on your shoulder and squeezes a bit. "Are you okay?" 

The cashier looks at your face and then glances at Liam's scarred hand. "Hey, buddy. Can you leave the fella alone? They don't seem too comfortable with you." 

He takes his hand off your shoulder and snarls at the cashier. You mouth 'thank you' to him. He simply nods back. You pay for the ingredients and exit the building. You get in your car and drive home as fast as you can and a car follows you all the way home.

When you unlock the door to your apartment, Sunny jumps up and hugs you. "Sunshine! You're back!"

You feel a little better being embraced like this. You've decided you wouldn't tell Sunny and Moon about seeing Liam in the grocery store. They would freak the hell out. 

You hug Sunny back by wrapping your arms around his neck. Sunny kisses you gently and then announces, "I missed you!"

You were only gone twenty minutes. You thought that the chances of seeing your enemy were slim, but now you have no idea.
